Bragging about my own stupidity.

So i've been trying to complete everything with gorgon, discluding VGT, and dragon isles were up next. First run went really poorly however second went great. Also TIL desecrating Mystera gives monsters on ALL floors 15% of each resist, i thought it was only on the floor of mystera
Image
And so overconfidently, i decided to proceed to clear the rest of the monsters in the first floor. Blinded by my own confidence i accidently clicked 1 too many times before chugging a potion.
Image
After this i broke out in a sad laugh out of the disapointment of my self, and the rather silly situation I got myself into.
Image
Oh the agony, oh the shame.
Image
And so it remains incomplete
I am the king of the rats now! Bow before me, peasants.

The general-purpose brag for the general-purpose topic: first vicious clear ever, at Dragon Isles!

Used le fromage de goblin assassin, but I don't feel bad, as I only prepped a fine sword, so it's not like I went in Amulet of Yendor or something. I felt like I put in some serious effort! Time will tell if I can do it twice more.

Edit: Went in Purist as Crusader to test viability and won. That was unexpected.

I finally managed to have enough motivation for a few attempts at Chemist VGT, and I got the win on my 3rd attempt after some bad RNG spawning useless glyphs (I know that none of them are really useless, but I sure as hell am not gonna beat VGT with BLUDTOPOWA casts and IMAWALing much needed popcorn).
Even during my winning run, I didn't actually expect to succeed until quite late. As you can see from my desperate protection spams, blackspace was completely gone by the end of tower 4, which was revealed EM. Not that I would have had the opportunity to get out of GG, as Dracul was in tower 7 and Taurog in 9. Soul Orb was definitely key with Mana Burn on almost every floor. Still, once I reached Dracul, Blood Shield and Tithe made it rather easy, although my mana went to waste most of the time due to his HALPMEH hate. Huge damage bonuses and BYSSEPS meant that I was able to 2-hit every standard monster, which helped. I drank the grand total of 1 single Health potion during the run to get the most out of the last few scraps of Binlor exploration during Horatio, but I could have done it Parched as there were more than enough pools left in the end. I always underestimate how far those can carry a run.

Joined specifically to show this - surviving a 999 damage attack with no Death Protection!

I don't really know how difficult this really is on a scale from one to VGT... I got it on my second try (didn't find ENDISWAL on the first), so maybe it isn't actually that hard? I know it isn't, like, a traditional Vicious-clear sort of brag, but I got the idea, figured it was probably possible, and here we are! I'd like to try more of these bizarre challenges in the future... The only other one I've tried is one-hitting a basic 300-odd health boss, which I gave up on after being 4 damage away from the kill and expending every possible resource.

This run was actually pretty close to not making it, but a couple of timely Vine Forms following an endgame Consensus was juuuuust enough to BARELY make it. Honestly, without the extra potions+gold+experience from Hitball, I probably wouldn't have had enough health.

A bunch of things about this run:
- Preps: Alchemist Scroll (obviously), Extra Glyphs (higher chance of ENDISWAL and more CP), Earthmother (Vine Form and spawning plants for the 999 damage), and Transmutation Scroll (uhhhh... i dunno really)
- Goblin might seem like an odd race choice, but frankly I don't think this is possible below level 10 and I was a bit worried I wasn't going to make it. The extra Alchemist Scroll use from the prestige level actually made it worth it, even though I ended up making level 10 before converting anything.
- I forgot to use Alchemist Scroll at level 3 and spent all my money before one of my potion uses, so this could totally be optimized WAY more.
- Items Bought: Health Potion (yay alchemist scroll), Dwarven Gauntlets (at level 4 but it was still worth it), Health Pendant
- I honestly don't think this is possible with any class other than Monk (for the higher resist cap). Maybe Priest, but that's still 50-ish health that needs to be pulled from thin air to compensate for the lack of resists.
- Glowing Guardian or Jehora would totally be better, but then I'd need to do Ick Swamp for a 999 damage enemy. (unless I'm forgetting something...?)

Wow, so that was WAY more in-depth than I was planning to go, but I guess maybe that stuff is useful/interesing if anyone else wants to try this. Personally, I'd like to see someone try a non-Monk run with this. Any takers?

OMW, those were totally supposed to always kill you, no matter how much health and resists you stacked!

Nice :) I love that people are still breaking the game.
