Hi there!
I just bought the game yesterday and am having troubling finding the prompt to create a new account.
I read the other similar threads on this forum, but no help there sadly.
I have checked out the "Log in" button from the title screen, but that only gives me the option to "I have an existing DD account" or to "I need to link my Steam account to an existing DD account"

Unfortunately, I just want to make an account... any help here?

Click the "I need to link my Steam account to an existing DD account" button and it'll take you to a webpage that will create an account on DesktopDungeons.net linked to your Steam user ID so that we can sync saves properly

I tried that also, but I'm getting the error message akin to "this account seems not to own DD"
I'm wondering what is causing this issue, and how to avoid this for your users later on?

Solved, I realized my save folder structure was named incorrectly-- I had played several games on a friends computer and copied the folder, resulting in the folder not corresponding to my Steam ID.
