@Dislekcia
Will the game get some sort of mod support later in the development? The game seems like it would be great for mods. (Also if so, how would we mod it? If it would be something like Dungeons of Dredmor, it would be nice, cause that is simple to mod.)

This game DESPERATELY needs mod support! Please consider this. I know its hard to implement but it would increase the fun by 10000% at least :)

So I "made" a new class, The Witch Doctor, an Explorers' Guild class.

-♠ Hex
♦ Curse Immune
♦ Cursed Strike; Basic attacks erode 1% on enemy resistances

-♠ Witch Craft
♦Starts with Compression Seal, Schadenfrude Potion, Strength Potion
♦ +2 Starting Mana

-♠ Switcha-roo
♦Starts with WEYTWUT glyph
♦WEYTWUT costs 4 mana to cast

I'd like to see a class that does something weird with piety, but in a way that is very unlike the Paladin.

For example, you could have something like this:

Monster class: Demon Lawyer

CP bonus: piety (or maybe indulgences?)

ALTAR CHASER: Can sense altars (like the Wizard's glyph sense - you don't know which altar until you explore). You always get Pactmaker plus three other deities.

CONTRACTUAL WORSHIP: No piety loss when converting from one deity to another (50+ piety still needed to convert). You cannot perform any action that would result in piety loss or punishment by the current deity. (You're still allowed to spend indulgences and desecrate altars. JJ's random minor punishments also don't count.)

So for instance, if you are worshipping Mystera Annur, you are incapable of attacking if the attack would result in you losing any mana to mana burn, or if the attack would result in the death of a magic user. If you're worshipping Tikki Tooki, you can't attack if the monster would hit you for a second time or trigger a death protection. If you're worshipping Binlor, he will not allow you to do anything that would cause you to level up (taking Alchemist's Pact into account, so he can potentially prevent potion use).

Not sure about the third trait, could be positive/negative depending on how broken the other two are.

The idea is that you can hop around freely between deities, mixing and matching boons and approved actions, but the cost is that you must keep a buffer of piety to avoid being tied down.

Been somewhile since I've updated here. I've just finished my last exam today. So I decided to do some spriting. So behold the witch doctor Dwarf (I've made two, cause I can't quite decide the style I want for it) and Halfling ;

So now that I'm back into this game again. I must make a new class suggestion with spriting, or in this case an incomplete class suggestion with spriting! Because that is what i do. So rest thine eyes upon the Djinn / Genie (I haven't decided yet, and the spirting is still very much work in progress) (oh, and the Djinn is a monster class, probary.
Image
(that bottom part is supoused to be clouds. I just haven't entirely figured out how to make good looking clouds in this pixel style yet.)

For abilities, I thought something mage-like would be intresting. (I'm not very good with mage-classes, so I'll try to learn more about them)
so here are the ones that I think would be fun to play around with.
Note that these are not nessecarly one skillset, just different things I think would be intresting. I'll make some skillsets some other time.

-♦Mana-link
The Djinn can use his mana (only when mana is full) once to cheat death (recharges on full mana and hp)
-2 hp per level
-♦Spellbound
The Djinn uses glyphs to power his basic attacks.
Some glyphs will enchant your next three melee attacks. (or next 3 turns)
BURNDYRAZ : Melee attacks apply 1 stack of burn and +2 magic damage per level
APHEELSIK : Melee attacks applies 1 stack of poisen and +1 physical damage per level
BYSSEPS : Melee attacks reduce enemy resistances by 1% (does not stack with the effect of the first attack, causing a total of 5% - resistances over all 3 attacks)
ENDISWAL : +30% physical resistance (lose 10% each time you take damage)
PISORF : 25% knockback damage on the next three melee attacks
WEYTWUT : The next three blankspaces restore double hp and mana
LEMMISI : The next three attacks reveales 1 blankspace without healing enemy monsters
HALPMEH : Next three melee attacks restore 1hp per level
WONAFYT : +10% attack damage for the next three attacks.
BLUDTUPOWA : +6 damage reduction (-2 per hit)
GETINDARE : +15% dodge (lose 5% each time you attack)
Using a new glyph replaces the previous enchantment (except from LEMMISI & BLUDTUPOWA)
- 30% starting damage
All glyphs cost 1 more mana
-♦Spirit form
+10% physical resistance
+2 mana
-♦Spirit form 2
- Poisen Immunity
+ 2 mana
-♦Fists of Magic
The djinn strikes with magical damage on his melee attacks
The Djinn ignores 25% of enemy magic resist
-♦Fists of Magic 2
The Djinn stikes with magica damage on his melee attacks
Weakness immunity
-♦Magical vision, something something i don't have a name for this
the djinn can see locations of all hp-/mana-/damage-boosters from level start.
-♦Etheral being
The enemies of the djinn are sendt to a different plane of excistance and do not leave blood pools
+1-2 piety per kill

All of these are simply ideas, and quite likely overpowered (maybe underpowered)

In keeping with the theme there: LEMMISI could give scouting for the next 3 uncovered tiles and BLUDTOPOWA could give lifesteal for the next 3 attacks.

It's pretty complex though, but players would eventually figure it out.

P.S. This doesn't mean I have time to make it, BTW ;)

Or does it? *x-files music playing*
My main goal is just to make fantasy classes anyways, that are lore/vanilla friendly and yet new / intresting. (oh and also possibly give you ideas for new content for the game)
