I just saw DD on the Humble Store, is it a stand alone version? I wondered because it says drm free and doesn't mention that it's only playable via a browser.

Yup. Soft launch to test issues
Also, Steam version is stand-alone too, it's just that nobody believes us because Steam downloads it for you.

That's true, I tried to avoid steam so I only played the web version.
If you preordered, do you have to buy the game again to get a standalone version?

Yes, humble keys would be nice! If it doesn't work, I'll buy again anyway to have a non-steam, non-web version.
There's a little bit of confusion going on here with the naming of versions (There was also some misunderstanding on the steam forums about drm).
On the humble store, if it says drm-free, I expect an installer or zip file of the game that needs no platform like steam to run and that I can install without any kind of protection mechanism. In a way, that's what I think of also with the term "stand-alone", that it works without any other seperate software (steam, browser), though it doesn't have to be drm free for that.
But these definitions are not exact and only refer to past experiences.

Will it be possible to transfer save states from the web version?

Yes, somehow it got to steam=drm, perhaps because of GOG=drm-free.
Good to know about the save file, thanks!
Is there a problem with the unlocked goat person?

I downloaded the steam version. The part of steam that's different from somrthing like gog is that you have to download and install the steam software in order to be able to download the game. The fact that you don't need to run the game through the steam software (and I guess you could deinstall it and it still should work) is made a little obscure and that's what it makes it feel like drm.
Saved some money that way for the android version...
