I totally tried to get the person out of the ice block also. The funny thing is that she's always there, and there is always only one instance of that block. I'd vote on putting an easter egg in there.

Yeah, currently it's pretty hard to ignore the nagging feeling that maybe there's a way to free her somehow.

If it was a repeating theme on that level - i.e. more blocks with various frozen critters - then it would be easier to dismiss them as just background.
