Thanks
Nah I won't try to argue about Gobs anymore. I found that combining a level catapult with a single mana potion is a very reliable way to destroy high level monsters, so my last concern, the ability to roll through the dungeon is gone too.
Beautiful kill!
Just to mention I created a satisfying VT Dwarf strat finally. Try the Dwarf Paladin of Dracul with extra attack boosters some fluff and a prepped Dragon Shield. At lvl 1-2 remove low level undead. Then join Drac, if needed convert health potions and grab Blood Shield instantly. Only spend as much resources as needed, since from now on you'll be casting halpme a lot and piety will stay at around 0.
Here comes the funny part. How to use glyphs? Just don't. Convert them all for +HP including Burndayraz. You'll be surprised how effective it is. Same goes for shop items. Buy things that boost damage, or are good CP fodders. Only a few items are worth keeping (Vampiric Blade, Tower Shield, Elven Boots etc.).
If you boosted your health well fights will look like this: you stand next to a 2-3 level higher foe, keep punching it, use 2 halpmes and he dies. No fancy level catapults either. Just plain old clicking. Sometimes you may want to explore 2 tiles for a 3rd Halpme, that's how far tactics go.
At around lvl 6 you can grab a few sparkles/kill popcorn/convert more health potions to grab 10% sanguine. Since your health will be ~20/lvl in avarage you don't feel the health loss. The added basedamage is nice, but the important thing is that now you can kill even higher level monsters just by drinking 1-2 bloodpools. Keep on leveling, and prioritize undeads for your kills, so your popcorn becomes a nice piety source later.
Start the bossfight at around lvl 8. If it's weak, you can kill it in a single ding, or not even that
Make sure that you only start slaying popcorn after casting halpme, so no piety will be lost. With whatever ways you want go for 15-20% sanguine, bloodcurse included. Your 2nd boss will be mercilessly torn apart.
The only important part of the strategy is to never pick up Blood Hunger, you can't afford to lose resists.
To speak about the strengths of the strat, I always win parched, dingmax, unstoppable, specialist with it. One time I threw in miser too on a plant level with the spoons and stuff. Never took Bloodswells, had many runs where I only drank 2-3 bloodpools during the entire run.
