Badgemonger

I tried to spice up my last flaming dungeon run and went for Purits+VT. I scored 6 badges in the end:

I didn't think about trying to max that, I could have easily grabbed the 7th still in play (I had an altar of Dracul and max piety so Ding! Max! was within arm's reach), and with hindsight, the only purchase really worth making was my Schadenfreude potion, which I could have replaced by three uses of Protection. So all in all, I think that getting 8 badges: Cheeky+Ding!Max!+Feeling Parched+Unstoppable+Purist+Miser+Specialist+Vicious in one run is feasible. I did have a miraculous deity spawn, but as I didn't max, I could have just gone without Humility, and probably max out that way. So getting any worthwhile deity with restorative capabilities would have permitted this.

I could not have added any of the harder badges, Warmonger/Hoarder/Faithless onto this strategy, because I relied heavily on converting, deities and also spellcasting. An Orc Monk or Rogue could *maybe* make do without glyph casting, though then Ding! Max! would become difficult, as that build could not amass the amount of bonus XP I did with my run (max diff was +5). Or, things could become more easy taking out Purist and/or VT, but to make it worthwhile, two of the harder badges should become achievable by going with the softer monsters (or allowed preps), and I don't know of a prep strategy that would allow me to score two of these badges without losing out on any of the others. Maybe taking a longer level like Hard Gaan-Telet, would secure Ding! Max!, and would still afford some of the other badges.

Did anyone already get 9, 10 or 11 badges in one run?

I've done 10 badges before in an alternate way: played an assassin in hobbler's hold with VT token and managed to run into TT. The extra items on the ground helped me score cheeky, while the boss was killed by overleveling :D

Getting 11 badges on a different map with different class is doable too if you cheeze it and aren't afraid of a little bit of scumming ;)

I'll give a hint: the scumming is required for pulling the Titan Guitar sub.

My thought was to do it on western jungle with halfgragon with the subdungeon where you can get 50 xp form the druid.

How ironic you mentioned that :)

Well, my idea was looking for a seed where you can knock a weak monster into the boss, that will create 10 plants, you will use those to demolish walls and one of those to hit the boss again. You create a situation where the entire place is filled with plants so you keep can smacking plants into Getanadafix's face with 1 click. This would allow you to make a lvl1 bosskill as well, but it would be too damn long. So use some of the plants to weaken a lvl2 and kill it in 1 hit, level up on a lv1 after that. You could use new plants to kill other monsters and rack up the required bonus xp for level 10.
At one time you should start weakening the rest of the big monsters and the boss, when they all become oneshottable use Titan Guitar.
This will let you score Unstoppable and Ding Max as well, since you can make unreal kills where your health wouldn't be enough for surviving one blow.

Might be doable without the guitar too, but you have to reach the point where you can tank a bosshit as well to have a chance, same goes for high level kills.

The problem is that you can't deal any damage at lvl one to the poss with plant shenanigans you need a higher base damage and lvl 2 monsters are impossible with all badges, thats why the 50xp subdungeon.

Darvin:Good point. Another idea would be a tinker (transloc) with the metall spider subdungeon (whupaz transloc).

It does work Darvin :)
What you said is only true for direct knockback, we're using indirect knockback which has no type, just like corrosion.

Here's a proof:

Being lvl1 isn't a problem either, since 5*0,2=1, so you can hurt monsters with plants. I know this too, I remember testing it. Even if your KB damage was supposed to be halved, you somehow still deal damage with it.

Btw did you know that attacking a boss with Whurgarbl with a regular guy does not automatically disqualify you from Specialist either? It's fine until you detonate the burn stacks, so if you kill the boss without hitting anything else in between you still earn the badge.
