That was a fun run. I even let the sacrifice go. :)

Spoiler: show
Yes, you have to be careful with JJ and a level 1 monk. More that anyone else, it helps to set up a level up early, before the penalties get in the way. Or be prepared for hunting down the potion shop for a Fortitude potion. Those of us that play JJ regularly are used to that.

Letting the sacrifice go was really a no brainer... I discovered that subdungeon after Dracul, and had seen the sheer number of midlevel cultists. Cultists make great blood cows (low damage, higher health than shades), and don't cause surprises when you're regen fighting. And that last part is key as without drainers hiding in there to subtract, the black space was worth a tonne of HP... double level for being a monk, and additional healing from all the recovering cows. I didn't even touch the subdungeons for healing.

Started the boss fight without any resistance (and not enough HP without over heal)... I needed to earn some piety for it. But with poison and draining and all those blood cows, I still got him down to under half before I could buy it.
Blood cows got me through the second form, but it was a bit more work. Final form was easy as an Elf... You easily get at least 3 fireballs... no need to buy any mana from JJ, I just some health.

Two Labyrinths in a row! Yesterday I "discovered" that getting 5 bonus XP for same level kills is very broken... which made up for not being able to break the maze. I did need to be careful... Tomithy was in a corner, and Rex was set to jump out exactly when I killed him, so I needed to drink a potion and teleport him away.

Today though we move up from Fighter to Berserker:

* Elf Berserker in the Labyrinth *

And one of my favourites (it's hard to pass up these on PQIs as it's one of the more potent options you'll get... meaning that most of my Berserker play has been Elves).

Demolishing the maze is available today in the form of a Binlor prep... and there's Conjunction and the Agnostic Collar too for lots of fun god options. And all four of my altars were around the center of the map, I found them quickly and could plan immediately.

Spoiler: show
The altars were Binlor (prepped), JJ, GG, and TT. I decided to bounce between Binlor and JJ. Start in Binlor, ramp up that magic resistance to the max while clearing out the center of the map of walls. Transfer to JJ with 50 piety for an immediate petition, and buy my bonus HP and mana to deal with the 130% dungeon and help a bit more with the Berserker casting penalty. Back to Binlor to fight Rex for the resistance. Then back to JJ for CA for an extra level up against Frank. And it was a bit a tight... I forgot I had sacked two altars already and came up a few points short when I sacked Binlor, so I needed to manufacture some piety with a health potion and GETINDARE. In the end I still had a few more hits I could have used on Frank, so it wasn't that close.

Ugh, maybe I should not play first thing in the morning at 6am :(
I absentmindedly clicked on a popcorn before starting to fight Rex, and wasted a whole levelup.
Then I wasted one more attack on the last boss when I activated badge of honour and GETINDARE in one move.

Spoiler: show
My strategy was to get might and knockback from Binlor, then go MA, and get cheaper casts / refreshment. Then I went
GG for a few 35% restores.

By the way, 50% MR is almost useless here: most monsters do physical dmg, and the final bosses as well.

* Vampire in Creeplight Ruins *

Did anyone get Feeling Parched today?

Spoiler: show
I only found good blood cows up top when I was fighting the boss already, so I blew some potions.
Plus, I killed the goat pretty late, so I had fewer blood pools.

The platemail was a nice found. No halpmeh or getindare though.

I found parched was very easy today... RBS, mace, Vampire god preps. I didn't sacrifice the goat until late either, but it didn't cost me any blood pools. So I had plenty of healing and not many hits to do.

* Gorgon in Shifting Passages *

I played it first as a prac in my Kingdom, and did it easily with SMM as the extra boss, did not even use any potions.

In the DERP I had to use all my potions and a bit of luck too, since the last few fireballs there was no retaliate from Evolvia.

Did anybody get "Feeling Parched" today? I was not even close, I left so many monsters on the table after I won.

I wasted a bit of blackspace corroding a lvl 4 goat at level 1, until I realized it would take way too much exploration.

* Gorgon in Shifting Passages *

Fun little one today. Shouldn't be too much trouble for people.

Spoiler: show
I prepped Mystera... which was okay today, magic users weren't overly prevalent. Biggest hit was from El Potion Loco... four magic users in one blow. Which I handled easily, because it took me forever to find anything, so I had built up a lot of piety clearing out a big hole. Just be careful about doing something like buying Mystic Balance and going in there without 20 piety. Of course, that subdungeon gives a huge supply of potions, making up for the fact that it's worthless for regen fighting. Other gods, which I both used, were Binlor and Earthmother. Binlor, is of course, good for so many things here... unlocking Gorgon damage, clearing the maze, clearing the statues from the blood pools for later, and some resistance. I used Earthmother for end game spiking (safe because I had removed most of the maze and wasn't generating random plants I wasn't clearing for mana)... mana was a bit of a deal today, as the random boss was Jormungandr, but I had HALPMEH to deal with poison. Note I prepped extra glyphs... if you don't and don't get it, then knockback would be the way to go, and Martyr Wraps are also in the preps.

EDIT: And, no, I didn't bother with parched today. Still had 3 of each potions at the end, though.

* Goblin Monk in Shifting Passages *

I made so many errors today. Kept pulling out solutions only to make yet another error soon after. I'm really not thinking too clearly today. But in the end, I got to confirm something I've always wondered about... mutual annihilation counts as a win. Kim Der Rubish might be dead, but Evolvia is too and that's what matters.

How is that possible? Does knockback still apply after you are dead or something?
