Ouch, I almost died today. No, the dungeons itself was easy (monster & glyph placement were a bit funny, and I could not find the bosses until I almost run out of blackspace, but whatever).

Whereas I found the bosses straight off... but couldn't find key glyphs which would make things a lot easier (including BURNDAYRAZ which was literally on the last tile I explored, including the subdungeon (I was thinking that I had triggered a bug there for a long time)... but who needs it with a human warlord and a lot of charms (two full lines, Zin was hardly hitting at all)). I just paid off the troll and slayer wanded a level eight Druid on the way down the loooooooooooooooooong tunnel to the other side. Still managed the early top XP spot without that juicy level 8 XP.

Gnome Chemist in Rock Garden

I found this one pathetically easy. I am not sure why only 27 people finished it.
For the 2 physical resist bosses I just used the mana regen form at around level 7 or so,
and explored the level while spamming fireballs at them. Then one remaining magic resist boss went down without a fight.

How come so few people prep Binlor here? He removes the walls for you, no piety loss on level up due to golems spawning, +60% resist any time you want it, and might + knockback for 80% bonus damage.

Orc Rogue in Magma Mines

I was afraid of Rogue's low health here, but it was not a problem at all...

Spoiler: show
Found the Bloody sigil in the shops. GG for a bunch of +4 health and Humility.
Then with the Bloody sigil you do this: attack a monster +2-3 lvl that requires 3-4 hits to kill.
If you don't get a dodge, then explore a bit to survive 1 hit, and try again. Eventually you get a dodge. Now hit again, fireball if needed, and finish with your first strike trait.

Tons of high level kills this way and very little exploration, actually. Yendor was in the shops and I prepped Dracul too.
I think I used one Protection, and no potions/Yendor/Dracul. So easy. Did not convert much stuff either.

I just realized, I could get a ton of bonus XP had I not converted IMAWAL. I rarely use that glyph, almost always auto-convert in fear of trapping myself.

And it was a Gnome Chemist... not one of the more twinky ones. It was nice that when I prepped Binlor for knockback to deal with the physical resistance, the bosses ended up beside each other... the problem being that the magic resistant one was all the way across the level, and the random one was Goo.

I also used mana form during the final battle with the two physical resistant ones... but no fireballs. I just bought down their resistance a bit with Binlor, then switched to Dracul. Dracul + Chemist mana form is the solution to the lack of synergy Chemists have between their spell and form perks (BYSSEPS wants both red and blue... potion forms give red xor blue). Bought resistance and two levels of draining... used mana form to buy might. Their resistance quickly became futile.

That was an Orc Rogue... a very twinky option that I often use. Some people prefer Dwarves, but that's really just avoiding being a rogue, not gaining you anything... and not preparing you for DERPs where you have to play something else.

If you were concerned about HP, then you shouldn't have prepped Dracul then... GG and Earthmother were available and deal with that much better. Dracul was available anyways... so overheal was an option for bosses, but so was resistance (Witchalok in the preps, Taurog was also there).

I dodged the first two strikes of Herp and one later... he only had two hits on me.

Dwarf Tinker in Cursed Oasis

I am a bit surprised by the preps everybody taking.

1) Fewer glyphs?? Come on... Blue bead makes sense for the general dungeon, but it is almost useless against the Dragon. Dracul, on the other hand, gives you really good protection for the final battle: even if you screw up your resources, and exhaust everything on the Shade, you still have tons of bloodpool heals to kill the Dragon.

2) Knockback prep lets you deal with blinking enemies on this dungeon, conserving precious blackspace.

What am I missing?

By the way, I almost died again cause I forgot about Retaliate:Fireball for 1 sec and absentmindedly fireballed the Dragon before levelling up. Ouch.

I was tempted to go for the +/-, but that's not too interesting with a Dwarf. What really killed it was the Bear Mace option... as you said, it's a solution to blinking (and helps with animated armours too).

I was kind of surprised with everyone taking the corrosion options over Quest items. Corrosion isn't so great here. I suppose you could use it for knocking large animated armours and such into the Cursed Shade. Other than that... animated armours don't care, the cursing monsters you don't want to get into prolonged fights with, and the bosses can never be beside each other. Quest items (and cheap today) normally gets you something really good.

The blue bead was taken for conversion fodder, because I didn't really want the other options The JJ prep was also largely ignored... I didn't really feel that Dracul was necessary with CA to make the Cursed Shade rather trivial (which is why I really didn't care about corrosion items). And with everything so nicely lined up to take out the Cursed Shade (mace even helped take off his over heal early as a way to spend red before a level up), I knew that I'd have all my resources for the Dragon. Plus CA leveled me to the point where it made more sense to buy Reflex for the Dragon than Whupaz.

And thanks for the congratulations... I'm going on vacation in early July and travelling will certainly break my streak then, but until then, one day at a time, moving my marker up.

Corrosion is a good way to deal with the Shade. Once you corrode it sufficiently, it will drop to pisorf/fireballs due to very low health. You can even blow all your mana potions on this, since the Dragon boss has retaliate:fireball.

That's why I picked corrosion + Dracul: it makes the boss battles obvious. Corrode the shade, and drop all mana refills on the shade, then use all red potions + Dracul on the Dragon. Not much thinking required.

Vampire in DoubleDoom

This one was so easy. Bloodcows everywhere. Easily doable as Warmonger. I did not even use any bloodpools.
