Been playing some Crypt of the Necrodancer lately. I'm not sure where they found people to make the music, but they did an amazing job. I don't really like DDR or music you're actually supposed to dance to in general, let alone the garbage you'll probably hear if you ever drive past a club... but this is something else.

Dungeons of Dredmor has an unusually catchy theme suggestive of big-screen cinematics. The rest of the game's music is pretty meh though.

Jazz is kind of my thing, though. Here's one of the most mind-blowing recordings that I know of: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PloycJeavQY

Crypt of the necrodancer has music from Danny Baranowsky, who also worked on the music for Desktop Dungeons!

I've been listening to a bit of "a capella epic power metal" lately, the description sounds a bit weird, but if you listen to it it's not so crazy:
Van Canto: Water Fire Heaven Earth
I find it really inspiring, I often listen to it when I have a creative block... ;) One of my favourite german bands.

Another track I totally adore, featuring *the best living singer* (ok, now I'll get stoned, but at least not by Canadians... ):
Nickelback: Next Contestant
(yes we are! and Chad rocks! ;) )
"Thinker", just without the "ache".

I've never been a fan of music with vocals. I prefer strictly instrumental pieces, which is unfortunately a rather niche category.

This makes three.
