I played this game a long time ago when there was only the Alpha version. I got pretty far in it. Is there any way to sync my progress to the new version, so I can continue where I left off on my iPad?

If you're talking about the alpha version you could download here then no, it's not possible to sync progress between those as they're completely different versions.

If you're talking about the beta that you played in your web browser, then yes, syncing progress is super easy: All you need to do is log in to the game on your iPad using your game account email address and password and it'll load your Kingdom.
