Zhugal
God of Pestilence and Debility

Initial worship

Gain piety equal to your missing health.

Likes
Corrode a monster (repeatable): +3 piety (Per attack, regardless of corrosive strike level)
Become poisoned, corroded or weakened: +4 piety
Move a monster so that it is newly adjacent to at least 3 other monsters: +6 piety

Dislikes
Be cured of poison: -5 piety
Use a Burn Salve or Fortitude Tonic: -20 piety
Buy from an apothecary: -20 piety
Move a monster so that it is no longer adjacent to any other monsters (if it's still alive): -3 piety

Punishment
Become Exhausted (mana won't regenerate) when not at full health. Potions lose 8% effectiveness (stacking).

Preparation penalty
40% of monsters gain Fast Regen.

Plague Hand: 15 piety
Gain 2 levels of poisonous strike and 1 level of corrosive strike. Become poisoned and corroded.

Miasma: (repeatable)
Unpoisoned monsters adjacent to poisoned monsters are infected for 1 tile's worth. Gain 5 piety for each newly poisoned monster.

Enervate: 20 piety (+30 piety repeatable)
All currently poisoned monsters are inflicted with weakness equal to their level. Become weakened.

Explosive Putrefaction: 15 piety (repeatable)
The next monster you kill will explode! All walls adjacent to the victim will be destroyed. Adjacent monsters will lose 4% of their max health.

Plague Heart: 90 piety
Your body is warped by the essence of Zhugal. Stacks of corrosion and weakness are capped at two times your level and now have the inverse effect. Monsters drop corrosive pools rather than blood. Become incurably poisoned.

This would definitely need some other cost to the player, otherwise it turns into a free piety fountain every time you explore enough to pop the poison off the nearby enemies. I'd actually make this some sort of paid boon (it's a neat effect) and look at the god's piety gain mechanics a bit more.

Very interesting god concept. Gotta say that Plauge Heart sounds OP though - could be better if it didn't grant any corrosion/weakness and just flipped whatever you had on you instead.

I had created with the idea that it couldn't poison monsters that had already been poisoned once before (similar to gaining piety for poisoning with TT). This would allow you to group powerful minions together and without attacking into them set up for an Enervate or two. Especially in the late game after converting, since you miss out on the big piety gain by initially worshiping Zhugal with a lot of life missing. But, thinking on it... the piety gain is probably excessive. Maybe Miasma could just be a free repeatable effect, or it could give you the piety, but could only be used once.

Yeah, I thought a OP boon with a huge drawback would be neat. But, if you had a lot of resists, Plate Armor, and used Enervate a few times, you could practically nullify a lot of monster's attack. So, either go with your idea, or give it an even huger drawback. :lol:

Likes:
Killing monster higher level than you (+ (XP for kill)/2 piety);
Casting BYSSEPS, CYDSTEPP, GETINDARE (+1 piety for cast).

Dislikes:
Killing monster equal or lower level than you (- (XP for kill)*2 piety);
Casting IMAWAL on a monster (- 5 piety).

Punishment:
All enemies on same screen gain No Experience.

Boons:

Intimidation (repeatable)
Lower monsters maximum health by 10% (monsters may remain overheal).
Cost: 20+20 stacking.

Challenge
Increases level of all monsters by 1.
Cost: 60.

Power (repeatable)
Grants Might, Stone Skin and Death Protection.
Cost: 25.

Music Time (repeatable)
Adds Titan Guitar to player's inventory.
Cost: 10+10 stacking.

Do Not Hide
Reveals location of all monsters.
Cost: 40.

Song of Mending 25P: Restore an amount of health to your character based on how well you sing this song into your IRL microphone compared to playtesters

Song of Death 20P: Add a temporary amount of bonus damage based on how well you sing this song into your IRL microphone compared to playtesters

Song of Victory 55P: As long as you sing this song almost perfectly into your IRL microphone you instantly win the dungeon otherwise, you die

Song of Magic 25P: Song of Mending but with mana

Song of Learning 25P: Gain "Learning" if you sing this song into your IRL microphone better than 75% of playtesters

Punishment: You can not stop singing until the end of the current dungeon (Stopping kills your character)

In my opinion, a new game mechanic should not be similar to any existing mechanics, and it should make interesting synergies with other ones. (And that's why I don't like the fact that Taurog and Dracul's initial worship bonus is the same.) So here's my one.

Destiny, the god of time

Initial worship
Gain piety equal to 1/4 of the explored blackspaces in the current dungeon level (Normal map size is 20×20)

Likes
Destiny gives you piety whenever time flows other than exploration. Activation of buffs/debuffs or converting something into another is not considered as time flow.
- Attack (+1)
- Cast BURNDAYRAZ, ENDISWAL, IMAWAL on an empty tile, PISORF, WEYTWUT, WONAFYT (+1)
- Buy something at shop (+1)
- Drink a bloodpool (+1)
- Use up a one-time-use item (+2)
- Desecrate an alter (+1)
- Play a wicked guitar (+1 per monster)
- Die (+100) ← This is your fate, adventurer. Admit it.

Dislikes
- Petrify an enemy (-5) ← This excludes Gorgon monster class.
- Convert LEMMISI (-15)

Punishment
One level down, along with max health, base attack, and XP bar rollback.
If you have humility, it is gone instead of the level down. Health and base attack rollback is normally done.
If you have prestige, one level of prestige is gone only with XP bar rollback.

Preperation Panelty
Instantly kills lv1 monsters until you are at lv2. You do not gain the initial worship bonus.

Boons
- Foresee (20 piety, one-time use)
Spawns a 0CP LEMMISI. From now on, LEMMISI always uncover more important tiles first.

- Prognosticate (35 piety, one-time use)
Grants you a permanent dodge prediction. However, you should obtain dodge chance from other source.

- Rewind (25+10n piety, repeatable)
Your health returns to the time before you were harmed most lately.

- Restoration (30 piety, one-time use)
Spawns all items and glyphs you converted so far with 0 CP value.

- The Great Fate (0 piety, one-time use)
Every non-boss monster, including plants, in this dungeon dies without giving XP or curse removal, leaving its bloodpool.




I designed this god to have as many synergies (especially with other gods) as possible.

- Regen fighters can farm piety quite easily.
- Rewind is a spike with strikers, similar to Taurog's Unstoppable Fury.
- Rogues or worshippers of TT will greatly enjoy the dodge prediction. GETINDARE+plants works fine enough.
- Prepped balanced dagger kinda negates the preperation panelty, though the panelty itself is not that big.
- Last-minute Dracul or EM will enjoy free bloodpools.
- If you are at lv1 without humility, or have prestige (quite the opposite), you are free to desecrate Destiny's alter.
- MM's refreshment works superb with Restoration, as well as early potion conversions.
- You can freely desecrate GG's alter (weyt wut?!) with the help of Restoration.
- If your XP is something like 35/40, getting punished will level you down but make XP bar 35/35 and give immediate level-up at the same time, effectively refilling health and mana bar.
