Altar Prep For Dailies

Basically, this is how I think it works:

1. Total number of altars: N = 3 (default), Crusader: N+1, Conjunction Prep: N+1
2. Select N random altars from the available 9.
3. Order of the N selected altars: Random
4. Player preps C number of altars (excluding Conjunction).
5. Player gets the C number of altars that are prepped.
6. Remaining (N - C) altars are taken from the list (after Step 3) starting from the first in the list and so on, skipping over those that the player have already prepped.

So far, based on the results of the previous dailies, the order of the selected altars is not alphabetical and it does not follow a fixed order ("last 2" dailies with test results put 2 gods in "opposite order"). So, it has to be Random.

If the fixed order theory is correct, then it means that prepping a deity can skew the probability of another deity spawning. That's huge.

I don't know if it's wrong or not, I would wait for an "optimal" daily (or two) to test it... Ideal scenario would include lots of possible altars and Conjunction in a lower slot in an otherwise easy to win daily (so noone's pressed to prep the same stuff just to avoid dying). I think that knowing Danny... There's probably some sort of very pragmatic, and very random-looking (but probably not at all random) little piece of evil code doing all the altar spawning...

I'm not sure what you're hoping to get from this TBH. The altars are just pulled from a randomly-sorted list as needed. If a god is prepped, it gets swapped to the front of the list. Because it's random and altar positions in the list aren't related to anything, you're never going to get any predictive input - random is still random

Did you guys notice, how since we have this topic... All dailies have only 1-2 altar preps available, and usually just offering the same altars that spawn by default anyway? I think the devs are scared, and are rigging the dailies to postpone the discovery of their devious machinations...
