I haven't tried GG Paladin because I thought that would be weaker than Dracul because of the lack of bloodpools. But oh wow GG Paladin is actually super powerful. Thanks a lot for the advice dusty.

PM at tower 5, a bit late, but as you see the items were perfect. Actually my veto slots were there for VGT purist, but yeah.
I learned that cleansing is superb on VGT. It removes so many debuffs, and kills illusion with ease. Enlightment is also powerful even without any beads.

So finally I re-did my purist badge. Since this isn't a monk nor a rogue I'll nominate this one to VGT Olympics though this isn't my original build.

FIGHTER BERSERKER WARLORD TRANSMUTER VAMPIRE
THIEF ROGUE ASSASSIN CRUSADER HALF-DRAGON
PRIEST MONK PALADIN TINKER GORGON
WIZARD SORCERER BLOODMAGE CHEMIST RAT-MONARCH
GOATPERSON

CHEEKY FAITHLESS DING!MAX HOARDER MISER
PARCHED PURIST SPECIALIST UNSTOPPABLE WARMONGER
VICIOUS

So now! A GOLDEN RING!

Note for myself:
I did see Tinker's guide for VGT rat viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3271&start=170#p37606 and eastless's youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ginOMGfU4GI
But tried a couple of times with rat, I'm not so good at conserving blackspaces at leveling phase. My blackspaces depletes arount tower 3; that's obviously a game over. I think I have some problem with choosing a target and recognizing when to stop corroding and finish. Also, doublekills via knockback. Long story short, I'm bad at rat-ing. I think I should watch the video again.
According to wiki's shop spawn page, since I will prep quest items, priorities of chance to spawn is following: FireHeart, HerosHelm, BattlemageRing, VenomSword, Whurrgarbl, VampiricBlade, Platemail, MartyrWraps, AgnosticsCollar, StoneSigil, MidasGlove, BlueBead, BalancedSword, etc. Items that I won't use anyway under the priorities, FireHeart, HeroesHelm, BattlemageRing, VenomSword, Whurrgarbl, MartyrWraps, AgnosticsCollar, would be veto'd.

For goat, I check William's win viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3018&p=40436#p40428 to see boons he selected: Magic, Humility, Protections, Blood Shield, Taurog's Armour, Blood Thites, Stone Fist.
He didn't take body pact nor consensus before H, but he had full resists. That makes perfect sense. So I don't need body pact even if I can't farm piety under Taurog.
eastless says immunities are a MUST and prepping alter is actually helpful. viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3434&p=40195#p40200
Also read: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3419&p=39079
Luck plays definetely a big role for a goat, but it seems doable. As many guys say goat is actually not so bad. I can't imagine goat being easier than a gorgon, but surely will be much easier than a rat anyway.

Having so fun with Gorgon, I decided to record and post a run. This is my very first video on youtube lol
I managed to get Parched AND sanguine-free. It was too easy.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcO-M3RNYI8

After taking the video I thought it would be possible to get Miser+Hoarder, but slightly failed. It is possible, really, I guess. I need tower 1 PM and HALPMEH+BYSSEPS. The screenshot below is Miser+Hoarder.
I guess prepping Martyr Wraps would be one option. Gorgon starts with resists anyway, and with slow strike & body pact it's very likely to have full physical resists by tower 5 or so, even without the Dragon Shield. Or a Vampiric Blade idk.

Now this is hilarious. Scummed for 1st floor PM + HALPMEH.
Patches gave me the last ditch manaburn, and I used burn salve little early. I had to fight H with 10 stacks of corrosion AND manaburn, which really screws Miser... This made me to convert to GG(!) under poisoned strike(!) AND lifesteal(!). I had to desecrate TT and Mystera to get shots of indulgences to make me safe.
Anyway, good job myself. I'm probably done with gorgon thing.

Inventory Management:
ENDISWAL
Potions kit + compressed Vampiric Blade
RBS
Patches
HALPMEH
Free slot

EDIT: Why the hell did I prep quest items

Interestingly, I've found that Gorgon and Rat play somewhat similarly. They both have reduced melee damage, however they each have their way to still shine in melee and pretty much trump Horatio's resists.

I used to think Rat was impossible until I did VGT with the Gorgon. Then I was like, hey, wait, Gorgon is tough because she does half damage, but really, Rat also does about half damage... ;)

Except for maybe the inventory space and starting resists. Agreed though, both are refen fighters and rely on knockback. I'm thinking about a Dragon Shield or Platemail approach, but I'm trying goat nowadays.

Goat is also problematic for me; he lacks resists & damage bonuses & immunities & reliable gods, I'm keep dying around tower 5. :(

Consider that you can just keep refill potions on the floor / in the shop. Since Weakness doesn't bother a Rat, the only potion you'd want to buy anyway is the Burn Salve. You don't need RBS and you won't bring Patches, so you won't have any inventory problems, you'll just carry - for example - Draining Blade, Platemail, HALPMEH, PISORF, Soul Orb (and keep the last slot free).

Goat is also problematic for me; he lacks resists & damage bonuses & immunities & reliable gods, I'm keep dying around tower 5. :(

Immunities really suck; most successful runs I've seen had Soul Orb and/or Viper Ward or HALPMEH and/or lots of luck. :)

That said, Resists should not be so hard to get, you can reasonably have 50%+ resists just by your preps, and landing in the right deities during the courtyard leveling.

It's just that you must think ahead, because you can land in any of the other 7 altars, so it makes sense to farm piety each level according to the current deity, you may need the piety at your next level. GG, JJ and Taurog like it when you convert stuff, so it makes most sense to do the converting under these; you want to swap, generally, at 45+ mana, to be able to get Petition if you land in JJ, or Blood Shield if you land in Dracul, and well there are also good boons you don't want to pass up, Dodge being the most obvious one.

You may think you'll get the good boons "next time around", but there may never be a next time. The only thing I would consider putting off is Sanguine if you get an early Dracul. Then you might want to avoid the headaches under GG and risk hoping for a 2nd time. Then again, GG is very lenient with Piety, so if you have enough piety, so it might be worth it even then.

Is this the first video uploaded of VGT goated?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2vzlp3Wq3BY

GOATPERSON! FINALLY!!

Dumbest moment: I was retarded enough to punished by MA.

Superb moment 1: I had no popcorns left and I was facing Dragon Elite. I decided to ding for the last chance and EM appeared.

Superb moment 2: I had no BYSSEPS, no Martyr Wraps and no Piercing Wand so I thought I can do nothing to deal with the 65% resistant H. Then I found I'm on Binlor and 35+ piety.

Just realized about the Binlor lategame, if you have no items/glyphs against H's resists. If you are already in Dracul, you can do similar tactics. Just make sure you leave your bloodpools as many as possible so that they are more worthy when you actually use it.

Binlor→Dracul Approach:
1. Whoever you were under before, join Binlor. You'll have 25 or more piety. If you didn't convert two wallbreakers, you can easily get ~25 piety from there, so it's easy to get 35 + 25 piety to get ENDISWAL and Stone Form.
2. WHUPAZ if you have, then alternate among exploration, ENDISWAL and Stone Heart to erode resistances. Ready for Dracul conversion (50-70 piety) while doing it. Better if you didn't use PM. You should break wall in towers so you can get more piety sparkles and blackspaces.
3. Convert to Dracul when you're out of mana. Get sanguine.

Here's the run I've used this: https://youtu.be/uhyEZL11MVk

I'll briefly mention this in wiki page.

Tried the infinimuter. I have no idea of the max HP cap and I wanted to kill L8 first, but I gave up and kill L6 instead since it would require too much time.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gJ1qehE ... Jo&index=1

Note for setups:

- Prep: Dwarf Transmuter, JJ, extra mana boosters, no quest/elite items (to get the Pendant of Mana)
- Scum: HALPMEH + B2P (+ mana increasing item, but this is pretty much guaranteed with some vetos)
- Boons: Petition, Boost Health, Boost Mana×2 (You have to use WEYTWUT to farm piety, 1 desecration is good)
- Once you find 4-5 mana boosters don't overexplore, and make sure you don't increase your max mana after you trigger the bug
