Tried a few times for Monk VT, Monk Hoader, Gorgon, Paladin of Dracul Hoader, Paladin Purist, and all failed.
Now I think I am facing the wall of viciousness...

EDIT: Can't do the infinimuter either I really wanted to do an infinimuter for the VGT.

VT Monk I imagine would be hard, because Monk's low damage means he is especially vulnerable if he can't recover after fighting the Golden Statue. And curses hurt a lot, not to mention, he needs to buff up Mag Resists else Warlocks would prove to be difficult to kill.

If you can do it, you will go to the Halls of Fame for VT,


Hoarder really isn't that hard and Paladin is superb for it, just try a few more times. Purist I did it with unconventional Wizard but Rogue, and Paladin especially should be easy enough with some luck and a few tries.

Hmm, ... Gorgon, most would agree that she's hard to play. Need a bit of luck with shop items (Martyr Wraps just for H would be awesome). Luck too, and gods, too, Binlor is good.

I once tried a Uendor GG monk with VT. Worshipped prepped GG, Yendor to L5, went to the first tower, and saw that the enemy had 86 ATK 222 HP while I'm at 12 ATK 56 HP maybe. Gazed my moniter for 5 seconds and lol nevermind
Though without VT a standard Dragon Shield Taurog monk really rocks, and I wonder why monk isn't banned for warmonger challenge.

Gorgon can't pull up the damage output, and cannot regen-fight the wraiths. Though It wouldn't be that hard to kill H because at that moment you'll have very high deathgaze, so whupaz and a few hits will bring H into the deathgaze range I guess. And with the deathgaze the damage output is huge. I heard that at the past deathgaze was a true death-gaze, that would be awesome. Why did the devs nerfed that feature? I'd love to feel that pleasure

I don't assume Patches for the paladin hoader, but in that case 38% magic resist is the best without body pact, and the pact can't be fueled under repeated HALPMEH. How do you solve the problem?

Yesterday I for the first time won VGT with Orc monk and decided to do VT after that just for fun. I started with DS+RBS and Taurog. Managed to get to 6th tower. Used all my resources though. Right now I can't imagine it is beatable. But again, I have little to no experience with VGT:)

Granted, I was "lucky" to get Soul Orb (together with Halpmeh pretty much negates bad effects from Patches). Getting another "good" item like Vampiric Blade, Platemail, Dragon Soul (?), and you are pretty much on your path to victory. I also found Dracul early (first floor) so I can convert to him when I like and Fully Revealed was on 9th floor (not Binlor level) so by that time, I am pretty much untouchable.

I didn't use Long Rant to corrode Boss, I didn't use the Wall Crunchers to get a bit more blackspace. In the end, used up all blackspace but still had many bloodpools (20+) and mobs left to use Blood Swell if I wanted to. Also got Feeling Parched, so it's really quite doable.

Granted, also all my veto slots are configured for Rat VGT so high chance for me to get the good items (Platemail, Vampiric Blade, Dragon Soul, Soul Orb, etc.), even if I didn't prep Quest Items.

Some of the badges are quite difficult, and you will need to try them more times, to learn the little details that make them doable. I think that once you start to feel the "sweet spot" for each badge, you won't need so much luck to win (though, with VGT, you can always just get RNG screwed...).

One little app that I've been using during my VGT runs is the VGT Tracker Sitnaltax developed. It's really handy to keep track of what you encountered already, and it especially helps you to time your Burn Salve / Fortitude Tonic quaffing, as well as ensure enough de-Curse popcorn...

Thank you for your comments, ~'(^ + ^)'~, zayyeh and Tinker. I saw spleen's youtube video with GG Paladin with less than ten shocking minutes, but I thought Dracul should be easier.

I prepped RBS instead of the perserverance badge. Didn't have burn salve nor mana potion left when facing H, so I went all mana-burned and had 8 stacks of corrosion. Didn't dare to desecrate EM of course. I learned I should never use the burn salve so easily... though at the same time I now realized the entire teddy prep can be done without glorious Soul Orb. That's good.
Also it's good not to regen-fight some monsters, especially warlocks and wraiths, on 8-9th floor. Instead you can drink bloodpools to kill them since the blackspaces left will pull out much more damage when used against H.

Awesome, so my only badge left is purist.

I said you guys! MONK IS AWESOME!!! Scummed only for 1st tower Taurog.

Venom Dagger and Agnostic's Collar were good items to go. Under Dracul I desecrated three alters and took an extra Blood Thite. I used up the bloodpools fighting versus later towers' magic attack foes, since blackspaces are more useful against H or other physical attack foes.
Versus H, first I consumed all of my blackspaces because I wanted to use all my mana to rip apart H's resistances. Then converted BYSSEPS and soaked up the bloodpools. Then I converted to last minute boost GG.
My biggest mistake was taking a body pact at tower 8 PM. That was totally unnecessary as long as I can barely survive a magical attack. Also, I took too many Blood Thite so that my max hit points were too low... If the 8th or 9th tower had a warlock I couldn't even tank a hit. Yup.
So, converted to GG, and I converted EVERYTHING to get a little bit of piety from everywhere. Even Taurog's gears. Then I could refill my health just one time more, then Yang's sword... oh boy. that was super-duper close.
