Tried VGT VT Human Paladin of GG + (scummed) PM, and won at 1st try?!

I recorded the video, but since the run had considerably many mistakes (and still won :o ), I tried again. And won. It's WAY easier than I thought. I guess it's almost as easy as Vampy.

Here's the vid of the 2nd run.

Interesting that you managed it with prepped GG. Also, why health boosters instead of attack?

Because well.. random altar preparation is surely better, but I didn't want to pass through 2.5% chance of getting the right starting deity combination.

I chose it because the attack bonus is already very high as a human. Y'know, burst damage is health pool multiplied by attack power. But I'm not sure if it is better than attack booster because of the absolution. Haven't calculated it.

I think attack boosters still win out because of the extra value in blackspace, no?

If the build relies on regen-fighting more than bursting damage, yes. If not, depends. If your bonus attack is high enough, +20% damage is not very big (i.e. it's only +10% power in result if you have +100% attack bonus already) but +20% health is (i.e. +13% power if you have +50% health)

Wow!!! So much in just 2 days.

I enjoyed the Gorgon video, I had a few question about it:
Why did you not convert Gettindare and Wonafyt sooner? Where you hoping for Taurog?

Also, it surprised me to see that you didn't take Stone Form boon at all. Given the amount of walls you kept breaking it could have helped, no? You didn't even use the wallbreakers this time.

Finally I've also been wondering if the Dragon Scale prep was really worth it given how quickly you reached the 65% resistances. Maybe Dwarven Gauntlets could have worked too?
We made an expansion and it is awesome. Really, you should check it out, especially if you're looking for some extra challenge.

1. Gorgon's conversion bonus is worthless at low values. It doesn't actually change the combat that much unlike humans, Vampy, or Rat. Yes, I was merey thinking of Taurog, but I'm not sure if I would really use Taurog when I meet him.

2. Ummm... well, you might be right. I'm not sure. I didn't take the boon because at the beginning phase I was short of piety and walls; and mid/later phase I had enough damage output so I didn't need it. I wonder if might buff would save enough resources more than 25 piety plus 15 walls. I was carrying RBS anyway, and BYSSEPS is fantastic versus H.

3. VGT VT is all about when can you reach max resists; Dragon Shield is a perfect prep even if I reach full resists at 1st tower or so and waste all piety afterwards. (Btw, if you are really careful, you can remember your "true resists value" and convert the Dragon Shield at the right moment. Though I wasn't paying attention.)

/

I tried several shots of Human Assassin of TT to skip right to the tower 3. I see the potential. But first of all, I need to find Taurog or Dracul early to get resists because I can't use body pact starting stretagy. Also the gears clog my inventory too much, especially since I need to carry APHEELSIK all the time.

* Dragon Shield prep - I need to find WONAFYT to get enough exp to reach L10. And even then, too little popcorn is left so the curse might end the run. Especially warlocks one-shot me. One interesting fact is that their attack is actually lower than non-VT, so I can always tank standard monster's attack even when cursed. I think I need to find Dragon Elite at tower 1 or something.

* Yendor prep - I don't need WONAFYT and no worry about curses, but I must find PM plus another usable god to build resists. 15% + 15% + 5% + Patches (+ lifesteal) wouldn't be enough. Even then it's way too slow. DS prep is better, I suppose.

By the way, I wonder if codex run is possible? The idea is, you can get the retaliation hit before assassinating the enemies using the codex, activating body pact. it would net +1 piety per kill, but the preparation panelty would spoil the strat so I need to find PM+TT from two random altars. Well, I guess the idea is somewhat crazy...
