I'm going to be looking at ways to reduce the save file size, and maybe even split it into multiple pieces. It will take a bit of time to write/test, because obviously we don't want it ruining your current save games if possible.
Will keep you all updated.

Thanks for an update! I wonder if you can try to add some file compressing library into save engine....
My tests -
at home (20 Mbit/s) - small save - < 1 sec
- big save - > 3 sec
at office ( DL - 2 Mbit/s, UL - 6 MBit/s) - small save - < 1 sec
- big save - never
Tried several browsers - same as expected.

file compression ... hmmm ... not a bad idea. I'll look into it as an interrum solution.

Well I guess you were here:
http://www.7-zip.org/sdk.htmlAnd they say it is OK even for embedded applications
The benchmark:
http://www.7-cpu.com/As the DD runs very very badly on my old P4 2.8 with Intel 865 VGA I guess the performance degrade caused by the save compression would be not that big deal... Oh..I am not a developer though

Thanks for looking in to this. I just played too much, i guess
Btw: Do you plan on making the save-files of the online version available, once there is a downloadable version?

Yeah, I can't save at all now. I beat the avatar dungeon twice but it didn't save. I made sure I only had DD open on one machine, and I've tried it on two computers at two locations - both of which support high speed. I get a message "failed to save" retry/continue

@Peacechaser Judging from the time of your post, I'd say this was before the latest update. Are you still having problems?
@q3 The past few days you say. Had the same problem since the latest update?
