Hi,
Unity now can be runned in Native Client. AngryBots demo from chrome store work under linux.
As far as I understand, you need to compile it that way. Could you do that?

We can't really do a release this far from our development machines: They are quite literally on the other side of the planet right now. Plus I have no idea what compiler differences could possibly be implemented to allow a Unity web player app to work under an emulation environment. I'm assuming that AngryBots doesn't use the regular web player, are you sure it's not a native application running under Chrome?

It did. I think Unity made ability to compile apps in NaCl, and they switched AngryBots demo to NaCl. I guess that's their answer to linux support.
Maybe some page source code will clarify things:

unity_nacl.js: http://pastebin.com/5fEQJtKk

EDIT:

1. Yes, NaCl support will be free, just like the normal web player. It is presented as on option on the Web Player build, because the two are very much related. The NaCl player basically plays back the same .unity3d files as the Web Player, when you make a NaCl build, it will generate two html files, one for play back with NaCl and one for playback with the web player.

Can I support linux version request more?
I liked HTML5 version of alpha that much, pre-ordered beta and now locked out of the beta game because of Linux. What's a pity.

Hey devs... please take a good look at this because that should be an awesome feature (to me that's an essential feature) and you guys would more attention to your game with that!

I already pre-ordered the $20 version and I would love to see it running with NaCl, I'll be sure to spread the word on that.
