Can't Access Goatperson After Enhanced Edition Install

Postby admiral229 on Tue Jul 14, 2015 11:55 am

The subject line pretty much says it all. Yesterday, I installed the Enhanced Edition of DD from GOG.com. Before that, I had the kingdom filled with (mostly) rainbows with the Goatperson DLC installed. After running the Enhanced Edition, however, I discovered that the Goat Glade has disappeared along with the Goatperson medals and the ability to select the Goatperson as a usable class.

This was quite annoying because I had finished a number of vicious dungeons as a Goatperson and don't fancy having to complete them again.

I have the Save folder from my original install...is there a way that I can use this to rebuild back my Enhanced Edition save data and then update the cloud?

What OS are you running the game on and where did you buy it from? The resolution steps are different if it's a Steam or GoG build and different OSes can have different issues preventing the DLC content from appearing.

Also, if you PM me your cloud sync email address, I can check if something has happened to your unlock state.

My OS is OSX v 10.9.5. I download the software from GOG.com.

I'll PM you my cloud address shortly.

Did you download the DLC version from GoG? We've had reports before of the DLC not being up to date...

Yes, I downloaded all of my DD content from GoG. It has worked and synced fine until yesterday when I installed the Enhanced Edition.

Okay, I'll check with GoG. I'm pretty sure that's the cause of the problem.

I think that we can close this ticket. I had sent the issue to GoG as well, and they indicated that there was a second install that had to be performed in order to install the Goatperson DLC.

I thought that this wasn't required since the original DLC that I had bought (when Goatperson first came to GoG) was a complete overlay of the vanilla DD that they had offered. This time around, there are two installs...the Enhanced Edition and a package overlay that installs the Goatperson DLC.

In any case, it appears to be working now that I've installed both components.

But while I have you still looking at my posts, could you check the email address that I had sent you in a PM to see if anything is wrong with my cloud sync account? It appears to be working, but I'd just like to make sure that I didn't lock the account by an (initial) improper installation.

Thanks for looking into this...

Ah, this is what I was asking about. Sorry for not explaining it better.

There's nothing wrong with your cloud sync account :)
