Can't seem to log in.

Can't seem to log in.

Postby JGeldhof on Wed Aug 17, 2011 10:46 pm

I purchased the game the first week preorders started.
I never received a confirmation email, but I found my way to the change password page and my email IS in your database. I changed the password and the game window loaded up.
When (what I assume to be) the password dialouge pops up, the two fields are not labeled with any text and they will not accept any input.
Any ideas?

Been waiting a LONG time to get my mitts on this game. Sure hope you can help.

Okay. Went to the "play" page and carefully logged in. No Dice.

Deleted the plug-in, then reinstalled via the link on the "play" page. (This time version reads: UnityWebPlayer version 3.4.0f5. (c) 2011 Unity Technologies ApS.
Same look as before, with no text rendered.
Carefully logged in.
This time I got in!
But, no text rendered in any of the dialogue boxes.
I'm familiar with the tutorial, so I just clicked through the boxes, and ran through the first couple tutorials.
Sounds are working, and I assume all the graphics are showing up (REAL nice BTW), but without the text, I'm going to be a bit lost, especially on the over world map.

I'm running Safari on a 2.4 GHz Intel Core Duo Mac Mini.

Happy to try any other ideas you might have.
Thanks for the quick responses.

Could it be that you don't have the Arial font that the game's using? I'm pretty stumped otherwise... The Unity support forums don't seem to have any ideas either. Curses.

In Safari's preferences, I've got Arial, Arial Black, Ariel Narrow, Ariel Rounded MT Bold and Ariel Unicode MS. Don't think that's it. I'll try, reinstalling Unity again and see what happens. No one else is having this issue? Ain't I special.

I'm running the new Mac OS (Lion) BTW.

Reinstalled, and now I can't log in at all.
Tried looking for an older version of the plug-in, but can't seem to find it anywhere.

I'm just a "Art Monkey" so if you think of anything else for me to try, let me know.

Ok, now the game is automatically logging you in, it looks like. But then the text isn't displaying and that's breaking everything.

I've found reports of this happening in Unity for a few other people, but nobody else for DD so far. I'll see what I can figure out, obviously stuff is easier to fix if I can reproduce it on my side...
