With the latest Vampire nerf, I actually have no idea how to deal with the AA floor. Was actually lucky enough to get it on the first floor down, and still didn't have a prayer.

You don't. Unless you get them at level 8, 9, or the first 10. Cause you can get up to 100 or so DR.
We made an expansion and it is awesome. Really, you should check it out, especially if you're looking for some extra challenge.

Prior to the stealth nerf, maybe. The new Vampire has to get clever to get DR as high as 30.

Which is why he was overnerfed. Good thing I already got my purist runs!

Tell me about it. Reeeeally wish I'd pushed harder for VHoS beforehand, though. T^T

FML.

I got AA on the 8th floor of my last run AND still managed to beat them anyway.
(Halfing Priest w/ Alchemist scroll, Dodging, 3 lvls Sanguine, Blood shield)

Then I get to Horatio and punk out when he is at 1/3 health. So depressing. Those AA's pillaged my resources, as I had to use every last blood pool to eke out a victory, leaving me with like 3 health potions to use to fight Horatio. I think I could have done it if I had found a Trisword on the first floor.

Damn, I hate those friggin' things.

On a side note, not sure if this is a bug or not, but the Alchemist Scroll resets every time I get level 10 "again".

That's incredibly overpowered for that dungeon. But I like Darvin's suggestion of making it the square root of their level, rounded up.

I will agree that the scroll is OP, but even with 300 health and 20% resist, I still can only take one hit from an AA before having to find some source of healing.

But with the meager protections, your fireballs will eat them alive.
