Can someone read this through? I'll write the intro and prep stuff later
http://www.qcfdesign.com/wiki/DesktopDu ... agon_Isles@Darvin: Regarding a tri-sword nerf, here are some calculations regarding this particular build.
Without prep:
Base attack = 50 from level, 5 from Taurog, 15 from Orc assuming you convert every glyph and can squeeze 100 conversion points out of the shops.
Bonus percentage = 20 from Berserker, 50 from boosters, 10 from badge.
Tri-sword current = (50 + 5 + 15 + (3 + 4 + 4 + 5) * 2) * (1 + 0.2 + 0.5 + 0.1) = 183
Tri-sword nerfed = (50 + 5 + 15 + (3 + 4 + 4 + 5) * 1) * (1 + 0.2 + 0.5 + 0.1) = 154
Dwarf Gauntlets = (50 + 5 + 15) * (1 + 0.2 + 0.5 + 0.1 + 0.2) = 140
Conversion Seal = (50 + 5 + 21) * (1 + 0.2 + 0.5 + 0.1) = 136
I just did a run preping the gauntlet, it wasn't too bad. A lot of things went my way (particularly pactmaker and dracul to desecrate) and a lot of things went against me (particularly only 1 of the 5 level 8s and 9s was a magic user). I killed the Matron with my last death protection.
Conversion Seal may be the most practical, you have a chance of a tri-sword or gauntlet turning up in the shops, maybe both and you have a free item slot.
Maybe tri-sword could use a nerf but a lot of builds rely on it *alone* to boost damage. What if tri-sword went back to 3 damage but it ate potions instead of giving a secondary effect to potions.
Thoughts?
