I saw the original, and didn't like it. And yes, it's not funny, it was ment to be "cyncism" used in the original philosophical sense which is to point out the obvious negative features of a generally socialy accepted concept while leaving room for light hearted departure from the norm, the way Diogenes used it in ancient greece. Its one of the cornerstones of comedy in it's "important social function" role, rather then the "for the lolz" one.
It's trolling, only with a purpose, and it's completely true. The Poison boon does work just as I've described, and what I've described is the reaction of someone who looks at it from a simple minded but clear perspective. The only thing it lacks is a sense of entitlement to the current poison boon, which I've replaced with a healty dose of ridicule and mock "help your buddies to a dirty trick" bit of bafoonery. It might be a good way to incite lurking casuals to give it a shot, and possibly post about it.
Having said that, I feel like anyone with the view of the Poison boon like the one described in the OP is probably more sensible than anyone whith a radicaly different one.
(And being what is probably the biggest publicly known Poison boon abuser, most of the ridicule is aimed at myslef, since it paints a load of my in-game sucess as a result of clicking on a "hack" button. Which I decided it was.)
I almost got pwned by Shifty Brickwork!
