Naff name... but alliterative.
Anyway, thought it'd be nice to have a thread to complain about horrible PQI runs, revel in creative solutions, chat about some odd prep possibilities or strategy tricks.
Kicking it off:
Quest: halfling rogue parched hexx ruins
Important prep choices: Platemail, GG, Str Boosters, Smugglers, Compression Seal
Second boss was Firstborn, subdungeon was vegan vampire, other gods were Mystera and TT. Well, my strategery plan was to use potion conversions to fuel GG piety for early absolutions and enlightenment, which is the only way (I guess Dracul piety is similar) for a halfling to use their conversion bonus on a parched run. Platemail turned out to be for the class, the strategy and the map. I started off with Weytwut and Mystera near me, so used that to farm my way up to 50 piety while saving popcorn before converting into GG and getting 8 absolutions. Continued playing naturally to get the 100 piety for enlightenment at level 6/7ish with a nearly-fully-explored map. Since TT was around I used health potion and shop item conversions and levelling piety to convert out in the middle of taking on firstborn, having cleared all the revents, took the XP bonus to level, chugged a dodge potion, then hit Stheno on the dodge (with strength potion as well, big for rogues) forgetting I hadn't killed everyone yet. Still, didn't matter in the end, she went down then regened a little in smugglers as well as picking up all the boosters I'd saved to finish off Firstborn.
Net result: victory
Quite happy with using a strategy that actively makes use of the problems in one of the perverse PQI beahoarderbutnotreally quests. Platemail horrendously effective on rogues (since I had weytwut, I managed to use one dodge and tank one hit to take out a level 8 goblin at level 4 or 5. Was delightful. Would prep again (I use rogues a lot, normally with Midas or Trisword, though).
