akes me wonder if any one will play if the gold release doesn't come with regular updates and changes.

We are all bored without a regular drip-feed of new content, spoiled buggers that we are.

That's why my wife and I have been only very rarely playing for the last several months, even though I read the forums several times per week. We want to have a decent amount of new content on release.
Have a mug of tea.

I still play regularly, but not nearly as much as I used to. New content is super exciting for me, and with a lack of it, my time spent goes down.
We made an expansion and it is awesome. Really, you should check it out, especially if you're looking for some extra challenge.

I am nervous about the beta wipe. I hope there's some kind of... accelerator or something that experts can use to get past the boring part. I don't want to run Den of Danger with Bet on Boss 4 times again to get enough gold to unlock each of the Level 3 Buildings. The silver challenges were fun, but some of the "do this dungeon with these three classes" quests got a little old.

Agreed, that would be nice. Still, I doubt that's doable unless they add some sort of "fast-track" for the whole game that everyone could use if they were good enough.

I can have all non-vicious challenges cleared just by playing an hour a day for one week. Annoying, yes, but unless you have a bunch of 100% completion dungeons you're about to lose (my condolences, Avatar) rebuilding your kingdom shouldn't be too tough.

Hmm. While it's awesome to hear that you all prefer content over prettyness, we do have to face the reality that the game needs to have better asthetics to do ok on larger marketplaces. I'm not going to be condescending and claim that the new Kingdom, eventual animation upgrade and the new SE content should be "enough to keep you interested", I get why you guys are complaining. It's just that we really do have to switch focus right now. A game like DD can keep growing content if we're not phenomenally careful.

I would add that nobody needs to feel "guilty" if they haven't played that much recently. Y'all aren't bad beta testers, honest. :D
