Well, FDru said he wasn't sure how to do it with a Gorgon, so I thought I'd just say it was doable with a very suboptimal deity loadout and no preps.

Really the new wall generation doesn't matter (or matters very little) if you have ENDISWALL.
We made an expansion and it is awesome. Really, you should check it out, especially if you're looking for some extra challenge.

If the devs really wanted to be nasty they'd use water tiles.

Oops, did I say that out loud? At least then there could be a balancing discussion that isn't tainted by "prep Binlor/Mace" or "scum for ENDISWAL."

*shudder* that map would be intolerable for gorgons. or half-dragons...

Or unstoppable for anyone but assassin. Not impossible mind you, just AWFUL.

I should take some screenshots to illustrate what keeps happening to me with the Gorgon. It should be pretty simple to summarize though:

1. No mana
2. Kill one of the only viable enemies on the map
3. Trapped between wall and statue with no way out but the pop a mana potion (or two)

Damn my luck, I guess.

Make a point of blowing up walls and statues as you go. If you have Binlor it should be fairly easy - play conservatively, use his wall-nuking boons (knockback one, stone heart as well if you want to) to clear out walls if they''re a major problem.

Otherwise you'll probably need to gather a big popcorn bowl in the centre with Wonafyt. As I said, managed it purist, with no preferable gods around, so it's definitely manageable.
