Wow this one came out fast. Good job devs! So glad I can use a Monk, a locker item and actually be able to pick up the boss trophy again.

Excellent, quickly produced update.

Lockering the new witchalock pendant still causes crashes though.

Good update. The Orc/Human balance feels about right so far. Orcs are more powerful early on, but only if they're willing to spend a fair chunk of points; Humans tend to be more powerful later on, although Orcs still do well with classes that have inherent damage bonuses and/or if they convert everything in sight.

Jeez, now we have to do comprehensive spreadsheet comparisons of human monk vs orc monk.

I like the change to Orcs. They deserved to have > 100 conversion, and I like to convert everything on the map for that damage anyway - so it feels both balanced and rewarding. Excellent.

I can finally convert mana potions as an orc and have it mean something in the end.

And take all the blacksmith/shop/potion preparation for another 65 points of conversion.

120 is pretty steep though. Got an Orc Rogue with both Gloves of Midas and Troll Heart spawning in shops, and finally only got about 6 full conversions (~900 conversion points I think). Will try a few more classes before making my minds on the nerf.

-----------------------

Orc still has an advantage at the first 2 or 3 levels, if they can manage 3-4 full conversions. Even for 4 full conversion (~500 conversion points), the 10(which might mean something like 13 with attack bonus) damage bonus quickly becomes inferior to Human's attack bonus, which at 50% will turn into 10 damage at level 4. Late game Orcs will be inferior to Humans in most situations.

Of course Human is a strong race, and the early advantage and damage/attack mechanism provides enough difference in play style and strategy....

But then again this means low conversion Orcs will be rather weak. Curious what this will do towards glyph heavy classes / glyph reliant maps.

6 conversions for 120 points is 720 points. That's +21 base damage for the Orc, versus +70% bonus damage for a Human. Assuming a vanilla level 10 Rogue with three +10% bonus damage pickups, the Orc would deal ([50 + 21] * [1 + .5 + .3]) = 127 damage. His Human counterpart would deal ([50] * [1 + .5 + .3 + .7]) = 125 damage. And with more conversion points, the Orc will only get stronger... Also keep in mind that knockback damage relies on base damage only - your Orc Rogue would do 35 damage for 4 MP with PISORF, which is even more mana efficient than a Wizard's fireball.
