Anyone had any success with purist VGT lately? No matter what I try the game puts together something impossible before I get the chance to counter that flaw of the build. Or just showers me with so many snakes/wraiths that no amount of potion can save me.

I like Goblins a lot for VT stuff if only because it stops you getting throttled by terrible monster placement (cf. Balanced Dagger or playing superclasses like Rogue or Sorceror being the other main ones). And I like them for Fighters and purists for obvious reasons.
