Went parched and miser today, effectively not using 3/4 of my preps. Fun run, but JJ right at the beginning made it overkill. No worries about the toll troll when you can just WEYTWUT him.

JJ and Wonnafyt, btw, I didn't even touch Wheytwut. Slow popcorn, kill popcorn, kill troll with 2 dings at lvl 3-4, also get a ton of JJ piety from all that. Only 2 glyphs I used throughout the run, lol, and I would've been miser too if it wasn't for piety farming ^^ Would've also used Bycepss if there was one

Today I learned what happens if you use the slayer wand on the bridge troll. Was not expecting that! I was kind of miffed about it too because I was trying to avoid using JJ (since it seems like I always end up using him regardless of my plans) but there was nothing else to be done for it after using the wand (well, not if I wanted to keep all my popcorns). Could have just converted to MA right away instead of getting Petition, but taking Petition is apparently just muscle memory at 45 piety now, so I did that by accident. Of course it turned out alright in the end in a very traditional fashion, with multiple mana-boosting dieties and items. I'm just surprised I hadn't run into the Bridge Troll Slayer Wand trap before. (It was kind of cool getting multiple sensation stones though -- I would like to try that with a non-potion class).

Made the front page, just barely. Sorceror's always a delight, especially with wimpy druids on the map. Even Frank can't crash that party. Parched and Miser.

So, today was totally overkill. I knew about the troll slaying interaction but honestly there was no need to bypass the bugger, I just blasted him into bits, but of course other solutions would have been also viable.

First time I saw the slayer wand trick and it's really awesome. I have a feeling this will become my fave HB Blacksmith prep.

Originally I intended to win faithless, but the JJ + MA combo is too good to pass up. I had crazy health and 30 max mana on top of everything MA can give you. If I didn't forget about my sub my damage would have been silly too.

Btw anyone else tried the shop scroll on this run? Such a troll.

Started JJ, was going to switch to Mystera. But the first boss had 25% MR. Not a ton, but I figured I'd go for Chaos Avatar anyway, even though I only had one or two stacks of weaken/corrode. It worked alright. I could've tried for parched, but I wasn't sure I wanted to screw around when I had 6 potions and two glyphs on the ground. Killed first boss, used money for Whupaz, leveled up mid-fight with an easy Slayer Wand use against the second boss. Second boss took maybe one or two mana potions.

I guess it would've been cooler to go double-mana booster, skip petition, and convert out after maybe just one health boost. Guess I'm not that cool. But for the troll, I left Weytwut on the ground and leveled up to 5 off of WONAFYT. At level 5 starting at max mana with a fireball, it's very doable with no potions.

I went pretty slow, but there were no real problems coming up.
