Yep, horrible layout. JJ saves the day (and is ridiculous good on potion race Bloodmages anyway). I felt like I was being really ponderous but the time's not *too* shambolic.

It's great for Vampires, though :)

So far I'm seeing a slightly less than 20% win rate, I think, which is reasonable weeding - probably due to a lousy glyph layout and a fairly difficult dungeon. I agree with Tinker that it's probably not going to unseat anyone. Also I'm still somehow no.6 on time, which is surprising given how bloody carefully I was playing.

I suppose people just don't play mazy maps without either the Guitar, Binlor or even at all. There were both JJ and the Smugglers Den in there (very important as a BM can't cast Wheytwut without an extra mana point), but otherwise it seemed straightforward. JJ-anyone can even tank hits from Rex, JJ Bloodmage can refill to tank even more hits from Rex, and JJ Halfling Bloodmage can... you get the idea. I fireballed Medusa first (spammed mana potions and some health potions, did it in one go), then threw everything (including CA) at Rex, also a lot of fireballs + melee (used subdungeon blackspace).

Would've been a lot different if I haven't found any of the relevant glyphs (luckily I ran into Endiswall first, which lead to finding fireball). Wasn't going for anything, tbh, saw it was a bit of a culling run for some reason, felt like trying it out...

That went smoother than I expected. I started Medusa at I think 4, and Minotaur around 6. Witchalok was a nice buy. Got one hit at 6 with Whupaz, natural ding, fireballs, BLUDTUPOWA, more fireballs, and a JJ ding before more fireballs. It took less than I thought to go through 400HP or so, all things considered.

I think I used some health potions or blood pools for Medusa. I think mana potions actually, because it boosts Sanguine for later.

Anyway, I knew blackspace would be an issue, and Medusa doesn't have a ton of health, so I wanted to start the bosses ASAP. It's hard to spam high-level kills for free with a potion race anyway. I guess I played this one right. I knew this was a good class/race combo, but it's not one that I'm good at.

Also, yeah. JJ was really good for this race/class/map. Bloodmages want all of it, and they want a mid-fight ding so they still have blackspace for BLUDTUPOWA during the boss fight.

If anyone's curious why my completion time is 1h, well that's why:

This is what happens if you play DD sleepy and carelessly.

I had to take EXTREME precautions before every kill, watch all my steps not to run out blackspace and there were also EM's plants to juggle later. Until lvl 5 my only combat glyph was Wonafyt, lol. At that point I ran into Endiswall so the challenge ended. I invested into Vineforms, picked up a Platemail and slashed everything.

It's funny I ended up 2nd on XP despite only killing same level guys and lower until lvl 5 :P
