Wow, not looking forward to this at all. Even if it is Northern Desert. At least since it's Normal, I can look out for early insurance items without fear for the late-game. But Goatperson is never safe.

I had the best run ever. At level 3, while worshipping dracul, I killed a wraith to level up. Angering dracul and losing tons and tons of health. I then proceeded to pop a mana potion to rid myself of the mana burn, forgetting I had just swapped to GG a second ago. Now, with no items, burndayraz, piety, food, or HP, I proceeded on. For about 10 tiles without uncovering a single monster that was killable and starved to death.

I'm an expert at goats.

Good thing I read the heads up, if you go the right way it's not very difficult at all provided you don't make standard goat mistakes. Killed the Warlock at lvl6 or something like that with a standard 13 mana bar and 2 cp pops + a precast getindare, and then killed the Goo at lvl 7 with all the conversions I could scrape by and a rather high last chance. Didn't even explore Drac's altar, and didn't take anything from GG, took an early health boost, petiton and the last chance from JJ. Oh, and 2 potions while in GG, one to spike something, one to get rid of poison.

And, err, it also seems easier if you're ready to drink potions to kill stuff. I mean, you got the ends spike covered by CP, so why not... I think I killed the very first gorgon with a potion before I explored anything... Health potions seem quite expendible on this map, too, no real point hoarding them (you just have to be careful not to get yourself punished by accident).

Also, I kind of left half or even more of the map unexplored entirely.

Not too bad in the end, finding the bosses, hitting level 7-8 and then blowing them to smithereens. I've been playing a lot of subvicious goats lately so I'm getting slightly better at not just killing myself with them. Elven Boots + Magnet: Fireball were very generous preps and I got it with a Parched. I didn't end up uncovering two of the altars. 20% winrate seems good for a Goat level.
