Damn .. believe it or not, I misclicked myself to death, was in the routine of regen up to 6 mana, and hit and follow by a fireball, and forgot to check my health on the 3rd or is that 4th time. Once I got to 6 mana, I just hit and boom, died to a level 5 Zombie.

Could have done this, although I have to say this may be hard. Not going to put spoiler tag, so here it is: 2nd boss is Bleaty. Default glyphs are Burndayraz, Alpheesik, Imawall, Halpmeh and Lemissi (in this order, except I prepped Burndayraz). Default gods are Taurog (your side), GG and PactMaker (the other side).

Best to prep Bear Mace, though I only prepped Burndayraz. Purist is sadly undoable unless Burndayraz spawns right at the start, becos there are so many chokes at the start, that, you have to "open" up the way several times by killing monsters at the choke points. Troll Heart and Alchemist Scroll are meh for the second boss. The other thing about Bear Mace is that I think the secret sub is near the start and you might discover it by accident if you knock a mob into its perimeter wall (only 1 wall layer to get through to it).

From what I can see, without any shop preps (I also wasn't able to check all shops), like me, without a Bear Mace, I can maybe think of buying Reflex and Badge of Honour to do the corrosions in. Then try to burn Bleaty to death. Taurog doesn't help at all. GG maybe at the end, and PactMaker maybe from the Potions-Give-XP pact. I also saw Mage Plate in shop (it is also a prep) but gold should be kind of tight.

Bear Mace seems to be the best for hitting Bleaty through indirect corrosion.


I have to start all over again, from Purist. I knew the road to 100 wouldn't be so smooth for me.

Another squeaker. Bleaty was a chore. Used the overheal from shop with troll heart AND alchemist scroll along with tower shield (purchased for the first overheal ) to tank a hit from bleaty just before leveling. Bought a mana potion for 8gp (my LAST 8gp) to overheal for a 2nd hit, then 2 fireballs (using the mana potion I just bought for the overheal) for the win!
It just feels so good when it come soo close and seems to pull out from nowhere.

Congrats to winners. Seeing that many people have nailed it and it is only just a few hours, I would say it seems doable (at least with the preps). Damn my misclick.

I am seriously thinking about giving up my Purist thingy and just going back to normal full preps. Well, to reach 100 first and see how long I can go. Before coming back to my Purist adventures.

I simply wasn't able to deal with Bleaty, at all. I guess this means i didn't lose TOO much with that misclick, but still...

yep, couldn't deal with Bleaty either. Thought I had enough soak with overheal, troll heart and the Taurog items. I did not. managed to get in one unstoppable fury but it wasn't enough. in any case I'm straight up bad with rat monarch so...

e: also stupidly I got a health potion early on instead of holding out for dodge or reflex
