Today's Android daily was Goatperson in Ick Swamp (with Aequitas as second boss). I play Monk awfully, and only practice I have with Goatperson is through dailies. Don't know who was more challenging.

Yeah, even for the swamp, that was notably cramped for a start.

All the gods were really hiding on me today... the Firstborn hid better, and was on one of the last tiles I explored, so he got to start without corrosion. Fortunately Binlor gives starting piety based on exploration, and is the #1 "one level god", so there was any problems with working for him and then transferring to Dracul (who's like the #1 endgame boss). I still had quite a few hitches... the biggest slip up got Dracul angry at me (but gauntlets and resistance made that okay). It was very annoying when I realized that I was 1XP of popcorn short of getting a level up during the boss fight (so I just ended up taking out a level 8 Wraith and levelling up in advance). But I ended with plenty of resources, so it was still more than good enough.

Elf Thief in Hexx Ruins

I like prepping Earthmother in general, I completely forgot how much more useful she is for Hexx Ruins.

Yes she is. I probably would have prepped if I had noticed... I don't pay attention to god preps because I normally don't prep gods, liking to play what I get. Her 0XP monster removal services weren't needed today though.

The default gods were:

Plant spawns can be a bit nasty, but IAMAWAL on revenants is pretty much the best thing ever.

All the bonus piety can easily turn into clearing away plants a few times if need be.

Yeah, I'm self-proclaimed EM fan so I do know all that. Have even prepped EM on Ick Swamp on a daily (and started in her), so I am definitely no stranger to the things you can do to minimize the chance EM screws you with her RNG spawning of plants.

Sometimes, I prep her just for the Imawal and get little to no bonus from her other boons (because piety is just used to spam Plantations to clear away plants).

Definitely agree that she is pretty good for this map. If not for the Halpmeh, Revenants would be a pain in the ass to clear before you take on the boss for today's daily.

It was easy for me without Halpmeh, I had a Viper Ward in my shops... Halpmeh got converted for two mana to get three fireballs.

Thief is a deceptively strong class. None of its abilities look like much on paper, but they are all incremental abilities, that each give you a few % boost to some stat - except all of these also reinforce each-other. So you have slightly longer bars; but you also have more refills; and then those refills are more efficient; you do more damage; have more shops, gold, glyphs; so you have more CP (= even more of something, like today it was even longer Mana bar), and have slightly better purchasing options (not as good as a Tinker, but better than average). All in all, Thief is the "more of everything" generalist counterpart of the "everything quicker" generalist Fighter. Except, a Thief who has B2P or HALPMEH can go crazy with the synergy of having off-color refills that can be converted into your preferred color. Today I did a Faithless spell-monger approach, and went Dracul after everyone was dead just for fun. No heroics, but I played quite quickly (according to my standards), I still have really exciting things to do tonight... :P
