I really don't get the preps some people make, Like on today's labyrinth the last line was:

Binlor/Witchalok pendant/+2 sword.

Clearly Binlor is good. Witchalok is very strong too (2 fireballs + one hit with 40-60% resists + 1 more free hit due to first strike). Yet so many ppl prepped the +2 sword, which the rogue does not need since he has high attack already.

I also don't get how you can prep Witchalok, but not pick the fireball as well.

* Gorgon in Grimm's Grotto *

I am curious to know what strategies other people used.

I ran out of blackspace earlier then expected... I was lvl 7, close to lvl 8, almost out of resources. Frankie had 5 stacks of corrosion. Tried to calculate where i would end if i started the bossfight here but I would not come close enough to kill him.
So i decided to put everything on leveling up. In lvl 8 i had to use one potion to kill ying and yang and level up to lvl 9. Started the fight with Whupaz, then fireballing with all mana i could collect(BTP and potions). A few more conversions brought him in death gaze range. Could land two hits on him with the death protections from ying and yang. Then i had enough piety left to entangle him but my damage was a bit too low to kill him with one final hit...
Didn't prep conjunction so Pactmaker wasn't showing up.

It was a close fight after all. One more potion or a few extra coins. I need to be more efficient in general in fact.

Ah, so taking the Bloody Sigil isn't so wrong... it's quite good for a Vampire. Not as good as Yendor (where you can set up that big double catapult to run something down... or just pop it early to solve a problem), but as good as the Blue Bead (which doesn't convert for much but is small and something you want to keep... the Sigil is large, but only useful early and then converts well).
