Oh that sucks :D

Curious Naga City was fun, but pretty easy :D
But really, 27 bosses? Are you insane? I think with added Scrooge, thats more bosses in one level than in the entire base game oO
Only the final boss was way too easy, had PLENTY of ressources left as I prepared for some final fight...

What did you run Curious Naga City with? I cleared it with Troll and it was pretty close. Monk is probably way easier. I wonder how it will be with a caster... and the VT run would be pretty insane.

Human Paladin of Binlor and Dragon Shield. Went down at lvl 9.5 with 60% magic resist. Had no problems downstairs :)

Yeah, that'll do it, for sure.

@Srid - I'm reconsidering Goatperson's Scholar's Pact vs. Spirit Pact. Body Pact is out of the question for sure, since Dracul and Taurog + Dragon Shield + Patches allow you to get adequate resists. Scholar's Pact allows you to get a lot out of the boss's minions, and the overheal will allow you to last much longer against Frostbite, but I'm not sure if this is worth the lack of mana refills. I'll try it out.

Currently I scum for:
- Platemail
- Soul Orb
- Viper Ward/HALPMEH
- JJ, Taurog, and Dracul

which is a pretty extreme amount of scumming already, even with full vetos...

I'm not sure if Curious NC is doable with VT. After all, the difficulty modifier downstairs will jump from 100% to 160% that it isn't really trivial.

Shade, I really think that you should wait a bit for the GoatPerson Curious EB, until I fix the 'altar not changing' issue. That should increase your success chances.

Scholar Pact will give you overheal and might, which should help a bit for the fight. Plus you shall still get plenty of piety thanks to JJ+free popcorn, so maybe having a refill god could help there.

EDIT: also maybe Serpentine Shield and EM could help you to accumulate much less frostbite in the final fight. Could be interesting. If you go for such strat then you probably should use Whupaz at the beginning of the fight.

Also please don't forget to put your screenshots inside SPOILER tags when they contain some spoil (even if people who read the thread until here have been spoiled big time already)
We made an expansion and it is awesome. Really, you should check it out, especially if you're looking for some extra challenge.

The reason I'm considering Scholar's Pact is the overheal since max HP is a real problem (you're not a dwarf). However I think if I have JJ I can boost HP enough to render that unnecessary, at which point the mana refill will be good thanks to the boosted fireballs.

I don't think EM is worth it, though. I don't see it being worth losing Platemail, and you're only getting one bar of refill per level up.

The thing is, the altar in your zone doesn't actually impact the run all that much. So long as you have access to each altar at least once that's pretty much all you need from them. Also, do you really think I need to hide my screenshots more than I already have? They're already clickable links and not embedded in the page, no?

Cleared Curious NC with VT!

It was a little tricky, but Monk is just so strong that it doesn't even matter. Scummed for Binlor from Consensus because playing with the prep penalty is a headache I didn't feel like dealing with. It's probably possible with the prep penalty, too.

Good grief, congrats on the Curious VT Vicious win. That's an accomplishment right there.

Only accomplishment here is beating Heretic Silver.

Wow well done, shade... you are doing insane stuff here :D Did you manage to beat the updated Heavy Reading puzzle yet? :D

In the meantime, I managed to defeat Curious Vicious Halls of Steel... that final boss was not easy! At first, I thought no problem, his damage will go down and I will just click him to death... but NO, 50 damage for 100 DP stacks... thats a whooping 5000 damage you have to mitigate somehow :O But made the victory even sweeter :)
