Forum Regulation?

Is there really a need to have every post that is submitted filtered by a moderator? Don't you think that this might lead to some community stagnation?

Go to "Board index" and look at the Birthdays list. See if you can spot the spambot names (hint: it's 90% of them).

Though I agree that the moderation is a bit harsh as it took like 3 days and 15 posts to get my clearance. Sometimes dedicated spammers can be tricky but it really doesn't take that many posts to recognize a legitimate user.

edit: you will eventually not need to be filtered, just in case I wasn't clear on that ;)

Oh that's awesome. I was under the impression that everypost by everyone was constantly being held up so it could be reviewed. That makes sense. Thanks for the reply :D

Yup, we have a bit of a spambot problem. I think it's something like once 3 or 5 posts go through moderation then your account doesn't get moderated anymore.
