Flickering of the Game Client

Postby HdM on Mon Oct 24, 2011 3:15 pm

Hello,
I already posted this in the Bug Thread in the DD Forum section, but I am not entirely sure that maybe it's just me.

The problem is that until recently, the DD client started to flicker very heavily for me to the point where it is unplayable anymore. I tried one or two other unity-apps (though not in the browser), they seemed okay.

Here is a screenshot of the flickering.

I use OS X 10.7.2 with Firefox 7.01 though the bug also occured with Safari 5.11. I downloaded the newest Unity engine, Unity Plugin version: 3.4.1f5
Unity Engine version: 3.4.1f5
Although the bug started occuring in an older unity version (that's why i decided to upgrade).

Any ideas?

Whoa... That looks like some sort of video card memory issue. What sort of graphics hardware are you running?

I forgot to mention this(Sorry, I have no edit button while it is in the moderator queu).

Work around:
1: Open dungeon
2: Set the game on full screen(will resolve it until you put it on small screen again).

Okay, disregard my previous post. My Mac dies when I try to switch the graphic card. It looks like it's time for apple support... Thanks though, I'll post again when I fixed the error!

For reference, my graphics card started doing the same thing in Starcraft 2. It died completely 3 days later... Really hope this isn't always the sign of a dying piece of hardware.
