Your count seems off. You claim to have a death threshold at exactly 71 tiles, but you have 81 tiles already revealed in the human tinker screenshot. Discounting the original 9 at the temple entrance, that's 72 tiles explored.
Using ENDISWAL, you can claim everyone on one side of the temple with only 45 tiles revealed. This leaves you just enough tiles to get the entire left side and still be able to go straight for the burn salve.
The altar square starts out pre-explored, so it's really 71 instead of 72. -Sidestepper
