The dragonspawn is one of the more robust monsters in the dungeon, and has enough hit points to absorb a serious beating without going down. Characters relying on damage-spiking techniques to overcome monsters will have trouble with the dragonspawn, and its magic-type damage means it will pierce most forms of physical resistance, flummoxing most attrition-based combatants. The dragonspawn does have one achilles heel, however. Like most high hit-point monsters it's vulnerable to poison and can be whittled down easily with a little patience. Anyone with large amounts of magical resistance will also have an easy time with Dragonspawn, but aside from the Class: Berserker Berserker and devoted worshippers of God: Binlor Ironshield Binlor Ironshield or the God: Glowing Guardian Glowing Guardian it's difficult to build up appreciable amounts of resistances.

There are several different Dragonspawn bosses in the game, the most notable being the Firstborn who serves as the dragonspawn boss you will encounter at random and also as the first of two bosses on the Dragon Isles vicious dungeon. He is quite formidable in terms of attack power and hit points, but has no additional special abilities.
