I've got some stuff on damage spiking in the Elf race page (since elves were born for damage spiking), but aside from that we do need a rewrite of the tactics page.
I'd like to propose the following wiki terminology:Striker
: A build characterized by high physical damage, but low or average durability. These characters focus on temporary buffs for survival and focus on ending combat quickly with a high-damage attack chain.Brawler
; A build characterized by high physical damage and high resistances, perfect for regen-fighting. These characters focus on attrition and attempting to use resources efficiently to overcome monsters.Tank
: A build characterized by high physical damage and high health. These characters are designed to shrug off the curse debuff and use %-health restoration effects to leverage their high HP. They differ from strikers in that they have good durability, and differ from brawlers in that they don't get as good value out of exploration.Caster
: A build characterized by reliance on glyphs as their primary attack, usually BURNDAYRAZ and/or PISORF. Often has poor to mediocre damage output and health, but excellent mana. These characters heavily use %-mana restoration effects and +mana bonuses.Hybrid
: A build that combines strong spellcasting abilities with decent melee combat skills. These characters are jacks of all trades that can deal with widely different challenges, but against specialized bosses may find some of their core skills essentially sidelined.
I think the above terminology basically encompasses 95% of character builds.
