The mage tower change is nice:
You can prep an extra glyph to spawn, but at the same time, the conversion value of all glyphs is reduced, which is a clever thing to avoid exploits.

Makes sense, but how much does the conversion value drop?

My only concern is that wizards and T3 classes get an extra glyph, so they will be penalized more heavily as a result.

The penalty only comes into play when you take the preparation, the game is clever about that; wizard takes no penalty without the prep, just tried it

I just completed it... at first I was like WTF? but if you can avoid the boss while he is covered and find WONAFYT early you can do it quite well. It was a change in style and I appreciate that.

Btw, for people that can't play right now, you get the mage plate by completing wizard silver and your reward for gold is, well, nothing. Besides gold being the golem level from the alpha, if you're into that.

Ok, that's true.
I totally overlooked that some silver challenges grant you preps now. Fighter silver lets you prep the Smith and Wizard Silver lets you prep the Wizard tower.

Nice that the Taurog item conversion punishment is less horrible now - would it be possible to let protections from altar desecration make it punishment-free (the trade off of mana and piety for a few cp is still pretty unattractive as a generic/long-term strategy even without the -10% attack, so giving slightly better exit prospects or a shot at opening up your inventory seems alright to me).
