Yeah, the guards and elites make Dragon Isles hell on earth. Or rather on an island.

I agree, curse isn't too bad, as long as it isn't stuffed on a monster that is big, fat, and dangerous (Matron Guards ad Elites, and to some extent Namtar).

Also, popcorn is a huge source of piety for the better gods (Drac, Taurog, TT, even EM), which is one more reason you can't reliably save it. Having a curse heavy endgame puts a cramp on piety gain this way, and god's are the strnges way to add abilities to characters. It's a big deal really.
