The idea is that when one of us is playing the game and pauses to consider if they could take a monster via regen fighting, go ahead and screencap the scenario and post it here. Here's a simple example to demonstrate what I have in mind:

The fighter has no glyphs or resistances or any other complicating factors. Can he beat the meat?
Ideally, the questioner would leave the item up for discussion and only post the solution a few days later, but because this is an example, here's the answer (as well as a general method for solving these things).
The fighter needs to heal 11 hp between attacks. Since 3rd level characters heal 3 hp/tile, that will require 4 tiles of exploration (it really costs 3.67, but since you rarely have such fine control over the exact number of tiles you expose, intense fractional accounting isn't worth bothering with).
Meanwhile, those 4 tiles of exploration will heal the meatman by 4X4= 16 hp. Since the Fighter inflicts 19 damage per pass, he will slowly wear down the meatman, inflicting 3 damage for every 4 tiles used. Since he needs to explore anyway, this isn't such a bad deal.

Could have won even earlier by picking up that fireball, but that's cheating.

This one is a bit more complicated. The Berserker has no glyphs, but we must now deal with resistances and conditional damage bonuses. To solve this problem, you must know that the Berserker has a base attack of 5, and you must remember that Berserkers have 50% magic resistance, as well as a +20% damage bonus when attacking higher level foes (a bonus that is NOT reflected on the damage indicator, but IS displayed on the combat prediction).
Will it work?
The Warlock does 9/2 = 4.5 damage, which gets rounded up to 5. That means the Berserker needs to explore 5 tiles in between attacks. During this time, the Warlock will heal 2*5 = 10 health. The Berserker gets +20% damage for attacking a level 2 foe. 20% of 5 is 1, so he does one point above and beyond what the indicator states, for a total of 7.
7 - 10 = -3, indicating that the Warlock actually heals 3 hit points net during every pass. The Berserker will never win this fight with his current resources.

The Thief has a base damage of 14 and is holding a BYSEPS glyph (+30% damage and crushes 3% resistance, costs 2 mana to activate). He has not yet activated the glyph. He has not yet attacked the goo blob, meaning that the one-time +33% bonus from Stabber is still available.
The prognosis looks good from the initial display. Will it work?

It's probably easier to predict after the initial exchange is finished and the proper regen fighting begins.

Heartbreakingly, the answer is no. The Goo Blob recovers faster than the Thief. While the initial set up looked good, the combat prediction assumed that the Thief would get the Stabber bonus every round. When it comes to regen fighting, one-time burst damage is meaningless.
Note that the Thief could still win this by starting over and gradually wearing down the goo blob's resistance.

What about now?

Of course he can win. He doesn't even need to regenerate. Once the glyph is activated, it only takes two hits to win.
