I think non-elf warlords can get more use out of earthmother currently (w/o saving glyphs, which opens the way for orcs and humans for bonus damage). 10 mana per clearance. If you do it mid-popcorning (so you can throw down a second you'll probably be able to hit 40 odd mana from that.

Of course, ideally, mystic balance, refreshment, conv. THEN clearances : )

Mystic Balance + Refreshment + Clearances on an Orc or even Gnome (MOAR cydstepp!) warlord with Martyr Wraps should be very silly indeed :D

Sure, same preps as most of my runs lately, Gnome Bloodmage with MW, quick and efficent leveling with Slayer Wand, STR potion and Reflex, getting an accidental 16% reist both from paches and a platemail, using BLOODTOPOWA and blood pools a lot, BURNDAYRAZ and GETINDARE for regen fighting monsters I didn't want to be hit by (liberal use of potions), saving HALPMEH for the snake floor, sticking with Mysterea untill I had refreshment, mystic balance and he next mana point would cost 105 piety, barely squeezing 30 gold for the second burn salve + whurlgarble, desecrating EM at the right time to facilitate a swap from TT to Drac, saving up popcorn to survive 2 curse floors right before the boss, getting resists from drac and stacking up burning and corrosion on HORATIO using dmg resistance + HALPMEH (indulgence from EM) + bloodswells.

I also managed to avoid the bug untill after I've beaten him this time, by not going up and down floors if I could avoid during the final fight. I think a Gnome Bloodmage with some Gaan'Telet exirience could complete every run if he could choose how to use his resource without fear of crashing unity. A perfectly resource efficent run would probably show that you have resources to spare by the bucket...

Also, I'm really starting to think Martyr Wraps, and global enemy corrosion in general is either too easy to acquire or stupidly powerfull. Or I'm not thinking right somewhere. What exactly are the cost/effect relations between MW, Battlemage Ring and the Flames Boon? The later 2 ad 10 damage per level per fireball?

MW could use a cap for starters.

In my continuous quest to try and feel content with the current Bloomage, I can't help but notice, Lujo, your recurrent allusions to the class when talking about your Gaan runs. It looks like he performs quite well there.
What I'd like to ask is, how do you feel about the class outside of the Gaan-Telet scenario?

To clarify, I'm not saying that Refreshment is a bad boon, just saying converting out of some other religion with a free glyph just so that you can make use of that one extra boon to convert with Refreshment seems kind of silly but I suppose it could be doable if you find both Binlor and Mystera fast enough.

Speaking of Binlor, the new 15 piety cost really hurt people who were trying to use Stone Skin for its effect, not its MR.
