I've confirmed that Rogue first strike is also working. This problem seems to be unique to the Assassin.

I think all of the things that the combat prediction now show doesn't happen.

Any timeline on the renovated kingdom map? It seems like we've been waiting for quite some time. Also, when I purchased the beta, the projected final release was early in 2012. It now seems like it will be in 2013. The last few updates have focused on bug fixes, but have added little in terms of final polishes or a codex.

Agreed. Any ETA on the codex, map, and kingdom screen.

Thanks for the notes on prediction issues, we rebuilt the system from the ground up and haven't tested it as thoroughly as we'd like. Spotting these issues makes them much easier to tackle.

We'll post an ETA on the blog as soon as we have one. The main bottleneck is graphical, due to high artist turnover and other forces of nature -- and a design overhaul of this nature is largely visual, yaknow. :P We try to occupy the weekly blog posts with random kingdom pics of stuff the artist has been working on (this one was different, though, if I recall).

We're also finally out of the woods with regards to this hideous content load error that's been stressing us out for the past month. That was a biggie. We've also been applying ourselves to one or two tasks which we haven't previously announced, like the damage pipeline overhaul and a little something that I'm busying myself with for a week or so.

Unfortunately, my answer to this question is going to get somewhat repetitive. I think we're getting another artist on board to ease the graphics load -- but in case we're not, I never officially said that. :P

Well, as you whip the artist into a proper frenzy, what would it take to commission artworks for all the pallete swaps out there?

And while we're at it, and the Mage Fist gets moved north instead of the current symbol, could you make it be the flaming pants? The way it works almost litteraly matches Darvin's original reaction to someones suggestion of putting a pair of flaming pantaloons in the game, which was "Removes the burning cap! ". Sets burning to max and makes people retaliate is the only possible better mechanic for an item with a label "For those times you really want a flame war!".

Pleeeeeeeeeeze?

Because the magic and prestige of a Desktop Dungeons shout-out lies in demands and harassment rather than inspiration and open-handedness, right? :P

As for the palette-swap artwork, I think that may be a case of running before walking. We're focusing on getting the Kingdom / Codex support stuff done first, and I think everyone agrees that's in highest demand. :)

Well to be fair, i've done both harassment and contributions (and plenty fo both, but i guess it evens itself out :( ). And the only reason I don't have the middle ground special edition is that my paypal isn't working (did buy one for my brother through the other venue though). Doesn't need to be MY flaming pants, it's actually a legit suggestion I think. I've sort of got over that there wasn't a way I was getting a refference quite some time ago (and the pants weren't even my idea originally if I remember correctly).

And the pallete swaps thing, maybe I wasn't clear that I ment if all the necessary stuff gets done and the artist who finally does it still has breath left. I couldn't remember ever seeing any indication that the pallete swaps will be seen to or not, so I... asked?
