Which levels in particular are giving you Vampire trouble?

He can have quite a bit of trouble on the maze maps.

They force him to kill monsters and use blood pools he might otherwise skip.

With my recent ranting about Namtars Lair - IS there any answer to maza maps except prepping Binlor? Not just for the vampire, but in general? Because Binlor works, but I'm bored to tears with him...

Bear Mace works. The transmutation scroll used on walls can be helpful, but it's a bit wasteful when you look at the preps you're giving up. Binlor is the only reliable one, sadly.

And is still pretty much overkill even after a truckload of nerfs to how it used to be. It's not helping that it's also the only reliable way to prep PISSORF...

Shame those goblin bombs never found their way into the game big time. We lack universal blankish cheap CP fodder, and we only have one way to deal with cramped maps which is total overkill compared to them...
