:D That's one thing I wasn't sure of - whether their attacks were capped.

Also, I just had a VT Vamp run that I had to abandon because floor before the last one was bloodless and it stopped me dead. And I've done in the lizard and the statue and everything else, had platemail, halpmeh, RBS, 9 lvl of bloodsucking, 4 blood cows - ideal setup and everything, but it still killed me. Patches turned out maybe 2 resist hits.

Veto slots - Battlemage Ring, Spoon, Blue Bead, Whurlgarble, Crytal Ball, Heroe's Helm and Mage Plate.

Ideally, I could put whurgarble back in and take out Stone Sigil.

Anyway it's doable. Obviously :D

And yeah, I don't mind you not sharing stuff and your arguments are fine in general - but can share some and you don't have to go too detailed. If you give us just enough, we vets will know what you're talking about or ask for a specific detail. The mystery strat, for example - it's not something any newbie will be able to copy just by knowing 2 key pieces. If it is we probably know about it allready :D (but we never thought of trying it seriously enough)

Ok, so this is doable without HALPMEH.

But can anyone tell me what's wrong with the picture below (any vet, expand and take a good look):

And I give him a cookie. Hint - berserked vicious horratio was healing me.

No scumming either (only platemail). The inventory you see is the inventory I was using for the last couple of floors, as I ran out of money a long while ago.

You must have had enough resists so his berserk damage was less than your lifesteal. Then again, that would require 65% resists and BICEPS, neither of which you had. I'm stumped. If only part of the picture wasn't cut off.

You can click on it and select view image.

EDIT: In short, patches decided to go full retarded and I ended up at 47% resists by the end. Luckily, such insane luck isn't really necessary as I almost killed the guy on the previous run with halpmeh and martyr wraps... while he was bloodles.

Anyway, fireball's actually really good to finish off monsters without having to waste a hit which can only drain very little blood. Also for curse removal (you can get everything on the floor to one hit away from death before you fight the cursed dragon or activat the scroll and save popcorn).

Otherwise it was standard vampire + waldo's smart potion usage strat + 2nd floor bloodless + my modifications (compression seal, different veto options, namely vetoing only quest items and then prepping quest items).

Congrat!!!

47% resist? 47%-18%(Dragon Shield)-5%(scroll)=24%

Patch gave resists 6times to you? :o :o :o

You mean Orb of Zot? I don't know the monsters which have a berserk mode would be applied with the Orb.

BTW, actually Martyr Wraps can be a replacement to Piercing Wand and BYSSEPS.

Because, the corrosion(burning) damage is also included in the bloodsteal damage.

EDIT: fixed some terrible grammar errors but I think it is still terrible..

Naaah, it was patches giving me so much resists and nothing else. Really, I walked in like that and started hitting him and healing. Nothing happened. Then he went berserk. And now I don't remember if I went up to heal but as far as I recall no...

180 - 20 is 160. 160 - (160 - 160*0.47) = about 80. I'm not sure what was going on but I was hitting for 80 (86?) with 8 lifesteal with a RBS so he had like 15% resists. I might've been taking a small bit of damage, who knows...

But it can be done without patches deciding to marry you, and Martyr Wraps (if you can ever buy them) can kill him bloodless if you have enough other resources left.

EDIT: And let's be resonable, nothing* really needs nerfs here because the game allready prevents you from stacking lifesteal and resists pretty well (I'm guessing thats the exact reason why vam can't worship gods). So this is technicaly cheating, but fine because how the hell would we ever get that badge anyway?

*nothing about the strat, it's just silly vampire - Gaan'Telet interactions. VT VGT ought to get nerfed regardless.

The weird thing that I saw in your picture is that you killed off your meatmen super early. I would not even dream of killing two high level meatmen as a vampire until I was completely out of black space.

EDIT: Wait. Those weren't ground floor meatmen were they? Nevermind then.
