Vampire plays very differently from other classes. Definitely something that takes time to get used to. GETINDARE is his best glyph, but if he can't get it then the platemail is pretty awesome for him. Sadly, the two don't stack well.

Also thought that resistances are great for Vampire.
Had the Poison Dagger for some time until I realised that it is rather counterproductive for the Vampire (no blood-cows). But still, it was great conversion fodder.

Yup, but they're hard to stack since he cannot worship deities. As a result, DR is better if you can get it.

Yup, vampire seldom will be regen fighting past level 1, so poison is pretty much useless for him. That said, conversion is very important for him so anything that gives good CP value is well worth it.

There's nothing better than finding Super Meatman as your boss on a normal-difficulty dungeon and literally healing faster than he can damage you. This is also possible with Horatio in vicious Gaan-Telet, by the way, although that's harder to pull off.

Man, those vicious dungeons are really hard, I'm still not comfortable fighting NC, and I haven't even beat Namtar yet. The library was really easy with the Orc Rouge doe. These guys really helped me up my game.
What's the proper way to play the vampire? Just keep weak monster around for healing? And if I may ask why was fist strike removed from the alpha? just curious.

Think for the Vampire you keep popcorn monsters and high-level Meatmen. In the later case, don't kill them, but let them regen while you regen your mana -> Meatman is at full health and you can drain him once again.

For the vicious dungeons:
If you like the Orc Rogue you could try the start which i posted in the first post (but human could be probably better).
For Namtar's Lair the is a guide at the wiki which really helped me. But i will try it in the future with different strats.
Demonic Library i did only once with the old GETINDARE glyph, which had dodge prediction (which made the run much easier).
