It's already been changed on our end though, so when the next update trundles along assassins will be able to properly "surround" edge monsters. :)

First strike is still not working in the Creeplight Ruins against an edged Shade.
In fact, hovering over various enemies it doesn't seem to be working against anyone on an edge.

I've also not seen it work on edge-bound enemies.

It's just the combat prediction as far as i can tell.
