Yeah, it's possible that EM was a decent deity for longer than we knew but we kept using her this way and she kept getting buffs so she's a bit too good right now (well, imo). I actually did this because I didn't feel like learning one more deity so I only tried to actually play her once I got bored with a lot of other stuff - took me... a year? :D Anywho it's strong, escpecially in Naga City and VGT where it was originally develped.


And as for the topic - what IS the kingdom "metagame", really? In the last short playthrough (sort of) I noticed that the way "objectives" are presented might be confusing to newbies. Quests firing up once you enter the adventure screen so at times you are really at a loss about what you're supposed to be doing next, that sort of thing... No way to acess the "tech tree" to plan your development, that kind of thing bothering people?

Does anyone still think of DD as a coffee break game? No offense meant, I just wonder how people perceive the game?

Just had a thought - maybe there should be calibration options for the "Random Run" button. Just think about it.

EDIT: Just had a 15 min random run game, orc wizard in HHoS went purist. If you could set it to include only certain tiers of dungeon (or directions) or whathave you, and exclude races and classes you don't want to play, maybe it would solve both the "quick game" thing and the "game too bloated" thing as anyone looking for a sandbox would be able to set himself one up...

EM Paladin with Soul Orb is my new favourite thing in the game.

I tend to play DD for something quick normally - purist on a hard dungeon, or near-purist on a vicious one. I'd say most of my games are under 15 minutes unless I'm attempting something tricky. Maybe 20 on a Vicious.
